The 400/800 already look average for a highschool runner, which is great as an untrained freshman. Freshmen usually suck haha. My guess is your anaerobic strength is good, but your aerobic strength leaves a lot more to be wanted. Keep working up that mileage and I think you could become a very solid 800/1600 type runner. Freshman year is way too early to get accurate numbers on potential.
Freshman year I ran my heart out for a 2:49 800 and a 6:14 mile. ( I'm a guy BTW) I was the slowest on the team, and was dangerously close to coming in last at meets. This year would've been my senior season, and I was looking to run in the ballpark 52, 1:57 and 4:30. It was looking like I had an easy first on team spot for the 800, competing for first in the mile, and a 2nd or 3rd spot on the varsity 4x400.
Just keep training, have fun, and really enjoy the process. You'll do great as long as you stay consistent and mentally in it.
