Hello,
I was wondering what people thought I'd be able to run for a 5k on a track based on this workout. Not a very windy day and did a couple miles for a warmup. The workout began with 1 mile at 4:59 straight into a 4-minute jog. After the jog took two minutes standing rest and began 800's. The 800 splits were 2:28, 2:27, 2:27, then 2:23. Rest between the 800's was a continuous 2-minute jog around the track right after each one. The main focus was staying consistent and felt relaxed during the 8's. I did a four-mile tempo run at 5:20 pace a couple of days before if that helps. My 5k PR was sub 16 but that was from Cross-Country.
I know the best way to know what you can run is just to run one of em' but I just broke my foot and that is not exactly possible.. Would appreciate any feedback.
