No, but it should've been. "You're going running? You just ran yesterday."
do you ever try to make him run with you?

This. My wife is slender and looks toned, but it’s all good genes and lifelong vegetarianism . She doesn’t do anything athletic and it’s a point of friction (in the context of a long & broadly happy marriage).
My other favorite from early in our relationship: “where have you been?!?” “Running, I said I was going for a run.”
“It’s been 2 hours!”
“Right. Running.”
“Oh. I thought that meant 20 min or something...<long pause>... do you do this often?”
She didn’t leave at that point, but I think it was touch and go ?.
Dude....gay jokes are for high schoolers. You should go watch Modern Family reruns or something.
On another note, I bought her a bicycle like six or seven years ago, and she didn't still couldn't keep up. Not that I was really *that* fast.
Definitely. Girls my age can look fit and attractive just because they’re young, but if they don’t have good habits their bodies will go to hell in a hurry. I don’t want to get in a committed relationship just to have her turn into an ogre when her biological clock hits midnight (metaphorically speaking).
This is definitely more odd question, but would you choose a partner more suited to running so that your kids would be faster runners? I'd want my kid to be able to make varsity as I never could.
butt what gay jokes though? how would I know your gender or orientation? don't be so touchy
Boobs are most important. No matter how old or how fat they get, big boobs stay big boobs.
Absolutely. My boyfriend and I have a semi-joke that if either of us became fat, the other can divorce them. Couldn't imagine spending my life with someone who gets winded after a 1 mile hike.
My wife has lived a healthy lifestyle through nutrition but never a HS or college athlete. Always active daily with jogging a couple miles on weekdays and weekend excursions of hiking, skiing, biking etc... Used to lift weights about 20 years ago and has aged well. I competed in college and beyond but am paired well with her lifestyle now. Our agreement is that if I ever look like some of these poor souls coming out of Walmart or the grocery store....just put a bullet in my head and end it all. They look so miserable and unhappy.
not athleticism per se, but rather a good physique. I used to be married to a runner/cyclist, and after we divorced started dating a gym rat/"exerciser" current GF is much more balanced, has a killer body, and is not ocd at all about training and generally a much more well adjusted person. I am not complaining.
Not particularly. While I enjoy my partners to exercise and eat well regularly for long term health, I don't expect them to dedicate a dozen hours per week like I do. I prefer my partners to my short with a slim frame and some well defined hips, but the primary way to achieve that is good genetics. Exercising 30min per day is just a way to maintain it into the middle age.
I'd definitely want my partner to at least look after her own body. If we can't even walk for an hour or two without her panting and wheezing then it's gonna be difficult to have a proper relationship. If she actually runs or keeps herself at a high fitness level, that's definitely a massive plus! (And in my opinion makes her far more attractive too).
Most athletic women literally look like prepubescent males. Gimme some cushion, bruh.
As a 58 yo guy who has stayed very fit, for you guys that are 30-35, and poting in this thread, just wait. The number and availabilty of FIT, or very fit women my age is VERY, VERY low. Good freaking luck. And the ones that do exist can have their pick of guys from 35-70+ depending on what that gal wants out of it...
Yes. It's one of the best ways to spend time together: going to the gym, running, playing whatever sports you both like. If you can share that with your significant other, that's a huge foundation for a deep and lasting connection.
Absolutely something I look for in a woman. She doesn't have to be a runner, but it's important to me that she works out in some way and cares about healthy living.

You have to be trolling.
Nobody can run at 12min per mile pace unless they are 70+ years old or 300 lbs.
Anyway, what's the deal? How are you going at 12:30 pace?? You have to explain this, or else nobody is going to be able to help you, because it makes no sense without some explanation.
A big vehicle has to move around differently (physics). Otherwise, the big vehicle may become a smaller vehicle and lose some of its previous features.
When I think athletic, I don’t think of your average distance waif. What’s athletic about a distance runner anyhow?
