Every week I keep hitting totals I have not hit in 12+ years. So, it’s taken a bit of time to get comfortable with the idea of actually running non-stop for 65 minutes. Somehow, I keep feeling good and keep shuffling along.
I co-lead the Tue group run for our team and we had a new runner who did not know the course. So I acted as a guide, as losing people is very bad press for the group image. The end of our trail is in black bear country and, probably, meth-head country (you know…SW VA). Unfortunately (for me) she was one of those people who finds it literally impossible to run slowly. So it was a heck of a workout for me. Wed’s morning run hurt.
Shooting for the Shawsville historic 5K on July 4th where I recall KP busting a 16:40 in 2007! I was third in our age group…just happy to break 20 min….
