Asheville and Boone will be almost back to normal by the time Election Day happens. APP State is starting classes back up on the 15th. Asheville University will start classes on the 28th. .Those are heavy democrat areas. I’ll be in Asheville in three weeks. Haven’t canceled that trip yet because I suspect things we’ll be better there by then. Some highways around Asheville will be down for a year but others are still open.
Blowing rock not so much but once again that is a conservative area of NC. The rural areas where almost a million people live will not be back to normal and the vast majority of those people vote Republican. This Hurricane will significantly impacting voting for Trump in a state that he won by only 80k last time around.
There a lot of conspiracy theories floating around about the response but none that I’ve seen are true.
Ok man, I’m sorry to have upset you. You make really good points. I didn’t realize Asheville was that close to re-opening, as I’m mainly focused on Boone and Blowing Rock, plus I have a daughter in school not super far from the most effected areas like Chimney Rock, but she’s abroad thankfully, so I’m only hearing second hand information from her. So, even as the optics might play badly for Kamala, it might not impact Democratic voting. So, that’s a win for you guys.
Either way, I love NC, have spent plenty of time there in my working life, and am considering retiring there. So, again, my condolences. I have donated to the cause and I will donate more.

Why won’t you answer the question of who you voted for in your primary? If you actually possessed a high IQ, you would’ve understood that Biden was a goner a long time ago, pushed him out then, and run an actual primary and advanced a candidate like Susan Rice. Then it would be a landslide.
