Well Week 8 of 8 became a complete rest week. Mid week after 4 days rest my legs were still sore and tired so I just kept walking no running . Today, Saturday, was a week since my last blast...the Tabata 8x100 with less than 10 sec rest in 2:33 . This alone would have been a good workout but I had already done 10x a minute hard with equal rest on the mill . Over the edge. But today my legs just came back 100 percent Whew!
Did 10x 60 secs at LT with equal rest on the treadmill power off
Track old wavy 4x100 24,21,20,17 . The 24 was supposed to be 30 so I was happy. The 17 was also faster than expected all with full rest. Then I decided to run a 600 under 2 flat. As my main concern has been getting my speed back call it faster than race pace translates into better economy at race pace for the 3k. Even 58.5/58.4 1:56.9 so I am in 2:36 800 shape which is good considering I have not done any 800 training except that tabata deal.
Plan is to keep fresh for 2 weeks shoot then go out at 90 for 11:15 3k and have fun at Hayward Classice;)
