I was wondering why Floberg, fresh off sickness, training for a marathon would turn up to the Austin HM, potentially ruining his training. I didn't know it was BPN sponsored.
Nick Bare clicked his fingers and Floberg came running
New video out. He still runs his easy mileage too fast. It's a button on the treadmill or a glance at the watch. Just do it dude. And this is while he's increasing his mileage :o
If he just does all his easy runs on his uncalibrated treadmill, he can claim his easy mileage ego paces while actually running closer to an optimal easy pace.
I'm almost inspired to become a youtuber myself to make some content like "here's an actual easy run. here's an undramatic workout. good training is boring" for some counterbalance to all the dramatic perpetual overtrainers. My PR is 2:38 (ran at CIM '24) and at this rate I'm pretty sure I'll hit sub 2:30 before him (my next marathon isn't until Chicago). The thing is I'm actually good at running and only now getting into proper marathon training, so sub 2:30 is a layup for me on the way to sub-elite. Not really fair at all when he seems close to plateauing (or already is). But the reality of filming and editing something for 50 views isn't that attractive. Much easier to read this thread for some sanity.
Having said that, 10/10 will watch next week to hear the crazy takes on his HM race and training.
