I was thinking Buford Bailey. She was a big loss when she left for Texas. Not there anymore and there’s always a difference between a successful assistant and a successful head coach.
Smith is referring to the Ole Miss throws coach. He was the throws coach at SIUC and was pretty dominant there, especially on the women's side.

Dude their team was in shambles during indoor. They only had 8 healthy distance women competing indoors. At the time he resigned, they were going to have less than 10 on the women's XC roster for the 22 season. It was an implosion.
Kimberly Graham-Miller has been named the head track and field coach for UC San Diego.
Looks like she had been an sprint assistant at Sacramento St. for the past 8 years or so.
Only 1 year into a 4 year D1 transition period (team can't even participate at the conference meets), I thought making a splash with the coaching hire (like Cal Poly) or even any high profile recruits would be very difficult in the near future, and the opening therefore could be a great opportunity for someone that might not be on the radar for other D1 openings.
Three years from now I could see this program being VERY attractive however, given the location and facilities. I'd think the program could get to the level of say Boise State once fully transitioned to D1 and the right coaching in place.

Just heard from a coach out west that Sac State has had some interest in their X-C job from a few reputable and very experienced people, unfortunately the school (AD/Director of X-C and TNF) hasn't replied or reached out to them. Doesn't seem like a priority. Oh well.

The vast majority of us started out like this guy. If you didn't, you're extremely fortunate. Sean Carlson started out as this guy for fvcksake. And all you dipsh!ts know he's been Carlson's assistant/recruiting coordinator at Notre Dame the past couple years so this makes sense right?

Its all one big juco job unless its power 5 any way. Goodluck training up your kids only for them to enter the transfer portal. The mac is a zombie conference as are many other. Dunno what all the arguing on the thread is for
