in the end my left hipp acted up in the last 150 metres to go, I was dragging my left leg.You can see it.There is a sharp pain now and I'm going to massage it and ice it up to night.
Henry,
The heavy trainers have too much rubber for the track. They grab the track and don't allow your knees to rotate (normally the knees rotate 12-15 degrees).
It will be much better to wear thin sole racing shoes for anything on the track.

You made the right point here. I need to start using racing shorts. In Carlsbad, I will put on racing short as the old-days of a serious runner.
Yeah!I felt the tightness on those areas as the last lap develop particularly at 200m to go.At this age every bit a muscles is sensitive. It doesnt need any distructions. It does needs to be left nice and smooth to do the right job.

The 295 day of training phase II.28mwp + 80mhc + 17mcd =125 minutes.I'm back to my normal copper hill climbing.
The youngsters are back to the hill repeat too, they have learned something that is unique to enrich their abilities of running.

Henry - nice to see the LA Times article. Best of luck at Carlsbad
Good luck at Carslbad. Henry
Henry;
I talked to Dr. Allison and unfortunately he is not running Carlsbad this year. I'm glad to see you are back running again. I hope your race goes well.

To XCTC,
I'm so happy to be in the scene runninh;however,at this age my running is a little bit different than when I was young.I need more time for recovery. Those muscles doesn't heal so fast as I expect. I take it one day at the time.
Who is Dr.Allison? and who is XCTC?
Henry

Dude, Henry you're the man. Best of luck in Carlsbad, clean pair of heels and a smile on your face! Think of the effort that has brought you this far, then drop the clutch and let 'er rip.

I do both because sometimes this body wierd,it might trick me as has been. I have to play with it and sometimes I give hard look on weight and deny me the feelings. Then go with that for a while and comeback for feelings. How is that sound to you?
One has to develop a hard core to it.
One has to develop a feel to it.
One has to develop a rhythm to it.
One has to develop a sound to it.

Mr. Rono,
This is Richard Friesner. My mom taught you at the College of Santa Fe at Albuquerque and you coached me at Valley High School in 1998 (Track and Cross Country). I've been following your threads and hope you run well.
Do you plan to get up early and run a little before your race?
Richard
Henry: if you hip is still bothering you; please do not feel pressured to run 'all out' for your fans. I'd hate to see you set your comeback, back a month by aggravating an already strained hip. You have alot to accomplish this summer and fall! Play it smart. We'll understand.
