the US press needs clicks to sell ads. It is a for-profit business
the US press needs trump around to get those clicks
newspaper reading dies without spanky around.
so they will help him and not tell the truth about him.
ALSO
the press knows people think it skews left. So reporters feel a need deep in their bones to go the other way and try to destroy Dems to prove their reporting is not left skewed.
The US press is addicted to the 'both sides' kind of reporting instead of the 'tell the truth' reporting we need.
I know the Republican Party pretends to care about women in competition against trans athletes. (They more hate the trans than care about the women)
I also don't think males should compete against females, regardless of how they identify.
But the Republican Party doesn’t care about what women have to go through if they have unplanned or problem pregnancies.
"Unplanned pregnancies"
Finally a liberal who just admits abortion is just about convenience.
I think having a lifetime commitment to another human being because your birth control didn’t work one night is more than an inconvenience.
You may have the 40 year old white Christian mother of four in Kansas who has an unexpected fifth pregnancy and she just wants to have the legal option available to terminate that situation early if she chooses.
At the same time, their blonde 17 year old daughter gets knocked up by an NBA player and daddy might not want this one to come to term. It may be nice to have a safe and legal option for that.
Kamala will try to protect those options. Otherwise, women are doomed.

The press does skew left.
it's more complicated than that
sure few reporters are republicans
because reporters value truth and republicans value lies
but look at the NYT and WaPo and WSJ. They refuse to cover Trump's insanity. While they covered every little stumble of Biden.
I'd guess 1/100 Americans know trump told the country he intended to terminate the constitution. The press has failed to be tough enough on trump. Out of a misguided feel they need to go easy on Rs to avoid being labeled biased.
And the press will hammer dems on things 1/1000 as serious. for the same reason: to avoid the 'biased' label.
A true press would tell the nation that the former president tried to terminate the constitution and told us he was doing that. Not here.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, he should probably stick to creating electric vehicle propaganda videos for social media not challenging Americans to dig into crime data.

The left skews left and it's not even close. In '96 when Clinton won, 94% of the media said they voted for him.
I read NYT as my company pays for it. There’a a ton of “vote blue no matter who” - people calling for Biden to drop out in the comments and then 12 hours later celebrating Kamala as the next great hope.

WSJ and Fox are the only 2 right leaning ones
are you talking about the opinion section?
the comment section?
come on if you want to have a serious discussion fine, but don't talk about the op ed page or even worse the comments section.

Do you ever watch those comedic interviews of people at Trump rallies failing the most basic questions of understanding about anything that Trump believes in? It is easy to say that these are chosen specifically to make Trumpers look bad.
But on the last pages of this message board we have two Trumper honestly asking for help from one another because they have no idea what Project 2025 is. They have no idea whatsoever.

Need to know basis.. all they need to know is libs and immigrants = bad.
“And our goal here was to get this legislation passed and then start working on comprehensive immigration reform. But this was stopped dead in its tracks by Donald Trump because he wanted to have this as an election issue. Like a lot of other Republicans, they don’t actually want to solve this problem.”
The former president has sought to cast Vice President Kamala Harris as a "border czar" who has failed to secure the border amid record crossings of migrants.
Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee, addressed a rally in swing state Georgia on Tuesday. As she spoke in Atlanta, joined by stars like Megan Thee Stallion and Quavo, some users suggested that she spoke in a 'fa...
