Personally, I'd only consider sub 14:30 close. 8 Seconds is a huge gap in a 5k. I think people are being more emotional than rational and ignoring the first part of my statement that it's an amazing time lol.

It's not over yet. NXN committee cares more about the merge results than the actual individual team performance as we saw with OAKDALE vs. GREAT OAK last year.

Quite frankly, Glendora’s 15:27 average is really insane and if they get 3rd I think there’s a good chance at an at-large. They beat Menlo at Clovis.

Menlo and Glendora are taking heavy graduation hits so I think this year is the last chance for both

If Glendora doesn’t get an at large they’d dethrone Oakdale 2023 (77:26) as the fastest team not to qualify.

Menlo looks to be the first CCS boys team to qualify for NXN since the legendary St. Francis Mountain View boys team WON state and made NXN in 2017 and finished top 10!

Has Menlo beaten any ranked teams this season? I want them to get the bid, but I'm all too familiar with teams getting denied at large bids because they weren't consistently strong throughout the season.

I really do think they deserve an at large. Besides Southwest, there really aren’t many 3rd place teams that seem to deserve an at large more

If you told me 3 of the top 5 California runners at Clovis would not have finished Top 5 at states, I would not have believed you.
