Bad hire for Vandy. Will struggle to recruit in her areas of specialty. Will end up like the days with Lori Shepard.

Yeah, Vandy as a sprint school just doesn't seem like a fit, but hey.. they got the two big things they wanted with this hire and that's all that matters.

AT is a smart woman and if anyone can figure out how to switch directions there, it's her
AT is one of the top recruiters in the country. She is the main reason Georgia recruited so well in recent years and they signed a lot of studs. Her people skills are excellent. Also she has a very high IQ and was a top student so I am betting she will fit well at an academically focused school. People keep doubting her and she keeps rising. We are very excited to see her take on the challenge. Georgia lost a good one.

^^ THIS
Unc Charlotte throws open, he’s gone to Army.
Who else from Big10 is looking at LSU, I heard McKay wants OUT, Peter is too dog it seems, Cory Martin has some SEC experience. Gig pays 180k a year. Who wouldn’t want to go for 3 years and make half a million?

Great hire for Vanderbilt.
Who says you can't sprint at Vanderbilt or jump or throw. They have the facilities and its a world class university. Other elite academic institutions have had All Americans and conference champions in sprints...such as Harvard, Duke, Notre Dame and Stanford. Its ridiculous to think because the head coach's speciality is or isn't the previous strong event group doesn't mean that they will or won't be strong in any event group they choose going forward...especially if you have the facilities for all event groups.
Great hire by the AD.
Maryland jumps
Iowa Central (NJCAA) sprints/hurdles

What are you talking about? The LSU throws position? No way that pays 180k a year.

Who says you can't sprint at Vanderbilt or jump or throw???? The administration! They don't even sponsor men's track.
They can have limited success in sprints but they will never be able to keep up with the other sprint powerhouses in the SEC. Especially because their average SAT is over 1500. They could have EASILY been a distance powerhouse, though.

I see someone doesn't know what they are talking about. Somehow you equated not having men's track & field means that women can't sprint, jump and throw at Vanderbilt.
Fraid so, plus, imagine the bonus structure, I wouldn't be surprised if Watson made 200k this year there.
