Hi ZeroCredibility. Please do explain how what I quoted was not in the Garcia decision. This should be even better than that time you failed to explain P values.
p.s. Why don't you explain the Garcia decision, since you're apparently the only one capable of understanding it.
What mechanism do you think the court has to force a foreign country to release that dude?
And it's not my job to babysit you on P values.
Your understanding of the Garcia decision is that the court can't enforce it, so it doesn't matter? The decision didn't instruct El Salvador to return Garcia. It instructed the US Government to facilitate his return. The court has the same options available to it to enforce this decision as it does to enforce any other decision it makes. I would support holding Noem in criminal contempt, but doubt that will happen.
So you don't understand what the P value means. Got it (remember, I've forgotten more about statistics than you've even known). But, keep defending the losers that failed the world's easiest IQ test.
China's long game is already mostly in place. China has invested about 40 trillion USD in building out its electronics manufacturing infrastructure over the past 30 years. They were able to do that with the strict capital controls in place in China. Chinese citizens are not allowed to invest outside of China. They are instead forced to invest in Chinese companies. The remainder of the funding comes mostly from Chinese printing of Yuan to finance the massive investments in infrastructure.
If the US invested 2 trillion a year for the next twenty years, it would be just enough to start (yes START) making smart phones. That is because there are over a thousand points on the supply chain for smart phones. You don't just build a smart phone factory. You have to build over a thousand factories to make a smart phone.
So, China understands that the US is bluffing in a big way when Trump talks about reversing trade deficits. And China has started turning to all the countries Trump pissed off to source the goods that China currently imports from the US. China has banned LNG imports from the US and is replacing them with Australian LNG. China has turned to the EU for soy beans and other agricultural imports. This means that US consumers will see prices for everything from iPhones to computers to refrigerators double or triple in the next few months while US farmers will face bankruptcy this fall if they are not able to sell to China.
China can weather this storm because they have a command economy and can just direct everyone's savings to keep the economy afloat while exports to the US dive. Trump is going face ballooning deficits because the US economy is going to go into a steep recession. Capital flight from the US to Europe is causing the bond market to crash. Borrowing costs for the government to finance the deficit are going up and higher interest rates will keep the economy from being able to emerge from a recession.
You don't understand what demographic collapse is going to do to China.
Your responses are childish and repetitive. Over and over again.
various versions of “you are stupid, I’m very smart. But I don’t need to give you any substance of my position. But I would like to go back and forth with you for three thread pages because it fills a need that I have”

“If I, TheAdultInTheRoom, were mistakenly deported and incarcerated in El Salvador, in a prison that the US taxpayer is financing, the US government would be powerless to facilitate my return tk the United States.”

It’s the same baseless schtick over and over again.
”It’s funny that you think you understand that”
”You can’t even tell me what a semicolon means.”
”I’m not here to explain to you what a semicolon is.”
Who knew that Trumps secret plan to end the war in one day was to do it by slightly irritated tweeting on his toilet?
Donald J. Trump @realDonald Trump Russia has to get moving. Too many people ere DYING, thousands a week, in a terrible and senseless war - A war that should have never happened, and wouldn't have happened, if I were President!!!
Russia did get moving. They started bombing hard on civilian targets during Trump's state of the union and haven't stopped since. What did Trump do? Nothing. In fact, he said it was Zelenskyy's fault. Putin chuckled at his lackey and kept bombing.
Trump said he would end the Gaza war. To that end he gave NetanYahoo all the arms he could want including bunker buster bombs. He said he wanted to develop Gaza. Unsurprisingly, NetanYahoo started blowing up civilian targets, killing entire families. Trump's response? Nothing.
Maga says they don't want to fund foreign wars or be responsible for civilian deaths, but Trump has enabled BOTH of the wars to continue and said nothing as civilians are targeted.
Trump blusters, starts a trade war, China, EU, Canada call his bluff. He backs down (twice) everywhere except with China who's product prices will hit Americans hard.

It can't. But it doesn't mean the U.S. government can't or shouldn't negotiate his release and return.
Which isn't possible so you see USS Harry Truman getting targeted every single day. You do understand Ansar Allah have been bombed for over a decade and have not been deterred. What is Trump going to do differently?

You don't understand what demographic collapse is going to do to China.
I have posted many times about China's demographic collapse. China will start running out of workers probably in the next decade. But what the US is doing right now is actually working against what is needed for a massive shift of manufacturing when China begins to run out of workers (China may turn to immigration to save themselves, but that would risk destabilizing the CCP and their hold on power). Throwing the US into a long and deep recession will cripple the ability of US companies to invest in manufacturing. Being in a trade war with Canada and Mexico over auto production will squelch the cooperation that will be needed in the USMCA free trade zone to build out the manufacturing capacity needed to replace China. The US cannot do it alone. And I haven't even mentioned the fact that the US would need to expand its energy grid by at least 50% to provide the electricity needed to onshore production that China will no longer be able to do. The US doesn't even have a unified power grid. East and west are separated with Texas carved out in the middle (and shutting off the power when it gets too cold).
Trump has no real industrial policy. That is because he has surrounded himself with sycophants who know nothing about manufacturing.
What mechanism do you think the court has to force a foreign country to release that dude?

It can't. But it doesn't mean the U.S. government can't or shouldn't negotiate his release and return.
Perhaps the same mechanism that caused El Salvador to take our deportations could be used to return one that the government admitted they sent there by mistake.

It's up to a foreign country to return the guy. You can't hold Noem in contempt for not being able to persuade a foreign government to act.
And yes by definition unenforcable rulings literally do not matter.
I know very well what the P value represents. You clearly do not or you wouldn't link a study with a .55 P value as support for your opinion.

Everything you think you know about Trump's policy is a caricature provided to you by his political enemies.
Trump 2.0 is a dangerous mix of corruption, incompetence and hubris. It’s becoming obvious this deportation plan to the El Salvador concentration jail was done by Stephen Miller without making sure it was fully legal. Because who could have guessed that it might be legally challenged and they would have needed to cover those bases? They now work backwards to fabricate a bonafide policy to show the court and are caught making sh!t up.

Trump is spineless.
Oh no, I do believe that we were told that Trump's "out of the box" thinking about Gaza Towers was going to force Arab countries to come up with ideas. Creating the new betting opportunity, Which comes first?
a) Trump infrastructure plan?
b) Trump healthcare plan?
c) New Arab Grand Plan for Gazans?
(d) None of it, ever.)
Of course, there's also War Ending in Ukraine, Grocery Prices Coming Down, Mass Deportations, Massive Return of Manufacturing, and.........

your point is that the trade war will end in 2075 when demographics finally trip up China? Nice! Timer started. Can't wait to win this one!

Step one would be for the United States government to ask El Salvador to release him. It appears they haven’t done that yet.
Step two would be to stop paying El Salvador to detain him, which Bukele has said they are doing.
If he has not been released following those steps, we can discuss further measures.
the problem of course is that if El Salvador releases the guy and makes trump look weak...there is a very good chance Trump will direct the full power of the United States Government to punish El Salvador for making King Spanky 1 look bad. El Salvador could get tariffed, lose any aid, etc. Trump will just declare yet another national emergency and sic the dogs on El Salvador.
We have a gangster as president. He will not tolerate anything that makes him look bad. He is a felon and a degenerate and a tyrant.

I hope that none of them are military, because our planners have their hands full with Greenland, Panama, and Canada. And perhaps whoever else isn't polite enough when they call to discuss tariffs/trade policy.
