Didn't see it posted up here yet so figured I'd move a piece in the vacancy puzzle. Matt Jelley landed the Maryland distance position.

Looks like the assistant western oregon gets the Concordia Oregon job. he is now listed as their head coach on both the track and cross country pages. Isaac frederick is his name.
bump
Regarding cons of job:
-Nowhere near max scholarships. Last I knew, they had 2 scholarships for the entire track & field team (2 per gender).
-New outdoor track, very old indoor facility. Relatively mild weather on front range makes indoor facility less necessary for distance runners, though.
-Except for little financial aid at an expensive school, recruiting is not as difficult as you would think (at least for men). Art found a niche...D2 caliber guys looking for engineering...school happens to be at altitude on the edge of the mountains (beautiful). There aren't exactly a million D2 schools with engineering.
Since the right D2 program typically provides a better opportunity to develop for athletes who were decent (but not great) in high school, Art was able to make it work very well. A program like that ends up having better teams than the majority of D1 programs.
There are definitely far worse places to coach than Golden, Colorado
ECU has made their hire
Look for a very strong up and coming coach!!
Where did former ECU coach go??
Name? Male? Female? Background? Do tell!

Admittedly, the season is about to start so they have to hire someone but it took about 3 months to hire my replacement.
Clarifying on an earlier post here.
In an earlier post, I talked about how it's refreshing when a school does a hire quickly and gets it out in a timely fashion as I know it took forever at Cornell.
After that, someone emailed the other day and was like "Have they hired your replacement? I haven't seen anything yet."
I forgot they still haven't got it up on the website, which proves my original point - it's ridiculous how long so many of these jobs stay open or aren't announced.
But yes, the decision was made weeks ago which is a good thing as season starts Monday.
So for the record - the Cornell job is off the table.
Good guy. Bad hire
