I know of this situation well. There is more to it than messaging. He was having relationships with athletes. His wife was going to divorce him for it a while ago but they stayed together once she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Unfortunately he did not stop, and eventually got caught by college officials. It's a very sad situation. You'll struggle finding any credible sources as this is a hush hush ordeal and it's not like he's going to tell anyone either. But I'm in the friend circle of him and his wife, he was having relationships with athletes.
It's nothing personal for me, no grudge here whatsoever. He didn't break any laws, but Loras has a conduct policy and he violated that on more than a handful of occasions... It was bizarre to me already that we would always see him at parties when we were in college, this whole situation made a lot of that previous behavior make more sense.
The irony of someone called "Bussanut" breaking this cant be lost on anyone
Nope, this is the exact opposite of irony. It's exactly expected.
Like I said. Nothing personal, if my username dictates how you perceive factual information, that says more about you than it does about me. I'm not attached to the situation, I was just shedding light. You're not going to hurt my feelings Matt, but I clearly hurt yours.

Why come on here and post this? Why bash on someone in our coaching profession whether he did wrong or not? Why? This is defamation and is not needed. Keep things to yourself and be better. No need to hide behind a computer and bash on someone and expose their private business or downfall. Posts like this can ruin a career and sometimes they are not true here.

When I was there, the “rumor” of him having inappropriate relationships with students was also pretty well known. And this was years ago.
And if that’s not the case and it were simply just him leaving for more time with family, why wouldn’t there be any more fanfare for a 5x National Championship winning coach, 11x Conference Coach of the Year, and 5x National Coach of the Year?
100% its a real thing. When he was a student, an assistant, or a coach. He has always had relations with athletes, he just finally got caught. Plus its at the point people have talked, and they talked, and they talked. its out, the fact that loras, and himself are trying to sweep it under is going to bite them. They will get sued for abuse of power, and he will never coach again because they didnt face it head on. and if he gets hired in the meantime, he will be forced to resign again.
Anyone got updates or a timeliness on that Loras job? I applied right when the app opened and havent heard anything. Also, who do you all think will apply?
Someone enlighten me on this. Can programs still hire volunteer asssitant coaches or has the NCAA outlawed this? I’ve heard mixed things as some coaches have said they cannot and some are posting to hire a volunteer or non-paid coach. So which is it?

The NCAA use to limit paid coaches a program could have. Volunteers were unpaid, but were also coaches above that paid limit in a lot of cases.
There is no longer a limit on paid coaches for an NCAA school. Schools can still have unpaid coaches who volunteer their time. They may advertise them as such, or just list them as coaches.
I had a prominant P4 head cosch specifically tell me “we are no longer permitted to have volunteer slots”
so why would they say that if it’s not true.
It could be he wants to tell someone they can't volunteer, without being the bad guy, or it could be his specific school does not want volunteers working under the athletic department.
Either way, there is no specific NCAA rules that schools can not have people working for them, for free. All that changed is all the rules delineating the difference between paid and volunteer coaches is gone.
Tyler Cooper we all know this is you. The LeMoyne coach is fine. all the distance runners do is sit and complain and wonder why they run like crap every meet. They love talking about how "good" they can be. Everyone knows they act like children and think they are bigger than the program. They just make it worse. I would never want to coach them. Terrible
