Any word on App State job? Heard they wrapped up interviews. Obviously didn’t land Thomas but they aren’t interested in utilizing their location to create a competitive distance program.

That’s an off base assumption. That is exactly what McLean wants to do.

Easily the most random hire I’ve seen this year. Something weird must have happened at Pitt for this to occur. App State goin up tho. They have perfect training grounds to make a LEGIT distance program

NAIA program at Bellevue University (Omaha). Distance only program about five years old. Pay above average. New athletic facility under construction.

Their location hasn’t changed since they incorporated a team. They won’t do anything, not as long as McLean is the director and they continue to minimize their distance program.

Glad your name has such meaning. You’re reaching. Unless you’ve been speaking to McLean himself, you have no idea what his plans are with the program.

It’s well known there was animosity between McLean and Curcio due to their disagreement over the allocation of scholarships. If his intention was to breed a competitive distance program he would’ve hired Thomas. I’m reaching but all signs point to a continuation of no attention towards the distance runners. Be reasonable, man.

Or Thomas had other plans and wasn’t available as we can see via his hiring at VT.
Unless you’re talking to McLean himself, which I don’t think you are, you have no clue what he plans to do.

Also pretty funny no one has mentioned a woman for any of these major jobs. And I’m not talking about those fill in positions the P5s or assigning for the “extra” coach positions.
