"NCAA DI… Louisiana Tech: George Cleare is no longer the Associate Head Men’s and Women’s Coach (Sprints & Jumps) after serving in the role since July 2022."
Odd time of the year for this announcement...Any Scoop on where he is going/what happened?
Bump...Anyone have any info? They now have a job listing posted.
Richard Fisher and Joseph Riccio have joined the Auburn track & field staff as the assistant jumps and multis coach and assistant throws coach, respectively, head coach Leroy Burrell announced Thursday.
I’ve been applying to some jobs here and there. I don’t have a lot of experience. Is it weird/unprofessional to email the head track coach or director of ops if I’m applying to some distance jobs? I was thinking just along the lines of introducing myself and expressing my interests or is that weird and not something usually done in athletics
I know of this situation well. There is more to it than messaging. He was having relationships with athletes. His wife was going to divorce him for it a while ago but they stayed together once she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Unfortunately he did not stop, and eventually got caught by college officials. It's a very sad situation. You'll struggle finding any credible sources as this is a hush hush ordeal and it's not like he's going to tell anyone either. But I'm in the friend circle of him and his wife, he was having relationships with athletes.
It's nothing personal for me, no grudge here whatsoever. He didn't break any laws, but Loras has a conduct policy and he violated that on more than a handful of occasions... It was bizarre to me already that we would always see him at parties when we were in college, this whole situation made a lot of that previous behavior make more sense.

The irony of someone called "Bussanut" breaking this cant be lost on anyone
