To use your sinking ship analogy: I do in this case get pleasure from watching someone else's ship sink. Because the captain of that ship is a complete idiot and narcissist. But it's enough for me to watch the ship sink from the shore of a nearby island, I don't need to go row my own boat out there and shout insults through a megaphone at the rescue effort.

There are zero people coming to running because of Seth. But there are lots of people getting dumber and getting hurt.
My favourite part of that UTMB series is how he bought swiss chocolate in switzerland, but he bought the cheapest most generic swiss chocolate - Lindt 90% cacao, which I can buy in my grocery store in the middle of the Canadian Prairies.
But that's just Seth's POV. He isn't interested in taking 5 seconds to understand something, he just goes with what sounds good. "Oh cmon now cmon now you know I gotta get something sweet for mah true love. What do we got here cmon now...ah yeah Lindt chocolate, I recognize that name, that's the good stuff for mah trewww luhhhhv" then unnecessary footage of a worker ringing him up and handing him the bag, then a flashback when seth presents TL with an exotic square of chocolate that's available down the street at his freakin costco. Content for days.

I appreciate this thread is 92x pages long now, but the context of this thread has never been aimless hate towards SJD or DGR.
A its core it is just concern from fellow runners that an ill-educated (in this field) man is leading thousands of followers 'down the garden path', with questionable advice to less informed runners (which he is profiting off of), questionable ethics in his personal life, lazy and confused monologues and shoe-reviews, questionable training sense, and a slew of other problems. Behind all of this is a disappointment that Seth's athletic potential has been and continues to be wasted. You can point to some achievements he has accomplished, but I'm telling you, they're not near where he could have been by now.
Also simply put, if you commit to uploading literally anything every single day for years, you open yourself up for the public to form opinions on it, positive or negative, sorry we can't all be brown-nosing him in the YT comments.

for the 824th time, flying a drone is not illegal. flying a drone for commercial use is not illegal, it just requires you to take an FAA quiz and pay a couple bucks. I suppose it's possible Seth hasn't done this, but even so, the FAA has more important things to do than go after a youtube shoe guy.

The mid-soles of a shoe he looked at today had a rating of 8/10, and the derometer score in the 50's. Seth tried to figure out why: "oh yeah, DURABILITY!" Meanwhile, the Hoka Mach series is his "preferred" low 30's, yet don't have any durability. Also 8/10.
