Washburn University, DII, MIAA, Kansas has three openings. One full-time assistant position with Sprints/Hurdles/Jumps/Multi's, and two part-time/GA positions, one with Distance, the other with Sprints/Hurdles/Jumps/Multi's.
Nebraska hired Nikki Larch-Miller to be their Multi Events coach. Wish her the best of luck there

Malm pretty much was floundering as a cross country coach. He was lucky he had an assistant coach with a lot of experience.

As to your comment about it being a terrible environment, I think you hit the nail on the head.
I was one of the candidates - thought the zoom interview went really well, had good folks recommending me, 4 years of head coaching experience and 3 years of assistant with solid results in the NCAA D2. Did not receive a follow up for weeks until they announced the hire. I heard about a couple of the other candidates as well who seemed like they would have done a good job. I don't know much about the coach they did bring in. Sad to see a program with a home XC course, indoor and outdoor facilities and multiple full time coaches with GA's going south.. Certainly seems to have potential. The people definitely make the place and not the other way around though. Sounds like a big administration problem and less to do with resources/athletes.
I wouldn't take much stock into "D1 Coach" claims, they were clearly making stuff up ( I guess this is Letsrun). Malm didn't take the job until October or so, and was never in charge of actually coaching the distance group since they already had a distance coach in place. Your claim he came in before the year and jacked everything doesn't add up. If you want to blame anything about XC, better direct it towards the assistant....his recruiting was so terrible they barely had enough for a team (will they next year??). Don't know if he left voluntarily or was fired for not recruiting.
Just want to bring some truth to this board. Place has potential, but administration is a mess. The AD is a marketing guy who never did sports in college, so you'd have to overcome this challenges.
Anyone know if there is a jumps position open at Clemson??? Where did their coach go???

I'd be wary of that one, at least if you're a POC. Big reason the last coach left and the school seems like it's on the verge of shutting down every two years.

The main head coach (POC) is still there. This is still more of an assistant, than an autonomous position.

What the heck is going on at Nebraska? Pepin is about to call it quits and I guess he wants to go out with a bang, by literally blowing up the program with these hires.
Expect an completely different staff from head coach on down for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Can they all get admitted to Tulane coming from Northern Illinois U? Completely different schools academically.
