Wow...no freakin' way that Democrats liked his speech. I'm more open minded than most on either side of the aisle, and I didn't like it beyond the typical Americans that they always bring in to recognize, the recognition of Steve Scalise and then just statements that are TRUE about the state of the union -- the economy being pretty good and the stock market being great. Are there SOME Democrats out there who liked it? Of course. There are always people on both sides who are not as informed as they should be, so they don't understand all the nuances that go along with what a President says at a SOTU speech. As a majority? No way.

He's just not the right person to talk about unity...can't get past that. He is a horrible, horrible person, the most divisive politician in the US in my lifetime and beyond, and pretty much all Democrats and then many others who don't identify as Democrats believe that.

The important thing to keep in mind is...

Mueller is coming.

The interesting thing that I saw in the CBS poll was that 84%(!!!) say Trump gets credit for the current state of the economy.

That bodes well for Republicans in the mid-terms if it holds that way.

what I saw in that link was that 86 percent said that the democrats should wait until the speech is over to show opposition rather than do it during the speech. that didn't happen.

I could go on for days of course. He just has zero credibility. He lies all the time. He takes credit for things (like no major airline crashes in 2017) all the time that he has nothing to do with. Saying that anything he says is "good" in any way assumes that you believe he is truthful about what he says. He is not.

Word are just words...you have to attach action to those words, and you have to be the right person to deliver those words.

He is so criminal. He is a danger to our Democracy and to the safety of our nation and the world. Most Americans see this fortunately (his approval rating just rocketed north to 42%, not really good).

No President in modern history has been so attacked, but no President in modern history (including Nixon) was so worthy of those attacks.

Hating Trump doesn't mean you love Hillary. Come on Trumpers, I know some of you out there want to leave the Dark Side and come to the light. I will welcome you. Perhaps, but only because even more Americans hate Congress. She is personally not where near the vitriolic person that Trump is. Trump is a serial liar. He's racist. He's sexist. He has sexually assaulted at least 13 women (sometimes they say 19; not sure why the discrepancy). He's a criminal who very likely conspired with Russia to help get himself elected.
