Who even gives a s$it about the approval ratings, or the speech for any President? What matters is whether any of it actually gets done.

It doesn't have to be DiscoGary. I am genuinely interested in how people who believe in this FBI conspiracy to wrongfully oust Trump at all costs make sense of the fact that the FBI essentially sabotaged the Clinton campaign leading up to the election. The FBI had the dossier long before the election. They had other sources indicating Trump campaign ties to Russia before the election. Yet, the only information they chose to share with the public was the Clinton emails nothingburger. And you think they were Obama cronies who were in the tank for her? How does that work?

One pole has 75% and the other 70%.

Nope. That speech delivered in a different way and more importantly by a different person (Republican or Democrat) might have been good, but it wasn't great at all, especially not being delivered by Trump...he's just not the one to ask for unity. He has burned that bridge.

In the CNN poll, it is a bit closer to reality, but still it is higher than the general population. Therefore (you still with me, is this too long for you attention span??), Flagpole was correct.

FURTHERMORE, your own links and polls show that compared to recent history, Trump's speech received a LOWER APPROVAL RATING THAN PAST PRESIDENTS.

You are so dimwitted, you didn't even read your own links, or understand what the debate was about. Only 24% of the people in the general population self ID as R's. Only 30-something % ID as Trump supporters. If you get higher #'s than that as far as who was polled, then, yes, YOU ARE GETTING A HIGHER % OF R/TRUMP SUPPORTERS WATCHING THAN EXIST AS A % OF THE GENERAL POPULATION.

I wasn't gleeful about the fact that according to CNN that his approval rating for his speech was lower than at least any in the last 20 years (someone online that night said since ratings had been taken). I was just pointing out that there were differing opinions out there...and clearly, there are different ways to read a certain poll. But, the fact is that nothing I said was a lie -- I was just quoting a CNN poll.

I feel the same...I don't really care...just correcting the record. Trump DOES care so very deeply about approval and watchers or listeners, etc. It is so odd.

There was a point where Republicans were the party of law and order, but those fundamental beliefs were thrown out with the dish water when Trump was elected.

Fortunately, Mueller is a patriot and is motivated by the rule of law. He will bring down the Trump criminal enterprise.

To those thinking that Trump getting rid of Mueller, Wray (a Trump appointee), etc. will end the Russia probe are mistaken. Justice will prevail.
