Wow. I'm guessing Zach got a job that you didn't get? Guy is one of the hardest working young coaches out there and is sincerely a nice guy. So he has good connections, he volunteered at a big time school to get those connections. Sounds like he played the game pretty well.

More big-time jobs came open than ever before - and the salaries for the head coaches jumped. This is a positive for our sport.
The domino effect has opened up plenty of jobs for assistants that are now getting paid more. (this is a
positive for our sport).
Jobs being offered through friendships and comfort is nothing new and has been going on in our society for centuries. Not sure this is bad.
Some dead weight in our profession that had assistant coaching positions was eliminated (that is good for our sport).
It is an enormous over-reaction to say people are having their lives ruined. It sounds good to make that statement. But no one's life has been ruined.
Back to Open Jobs -
Illinois posted openings for two Asst W-TF Positions, so it will be a completely new staff on the Women's side there. That is a big change.

bingo. my previous employment has been discussed on this board. thankfully, my integrity has not. there were things that were out of my control that lead to my resignation, and sadly, i have not earned an interview...not sure why.
my family's life was changed drastically. try being overqualified for home depot and high school teaching. it's tough out there, but that's the way it goes.
bottom line, it's time for a coaches union. i never believed in one until 2011, but sometimes entitled and spoiled kids (what some people refer to as student-athletes) can do things that shouldn't be done.

Not only entitled spoiled kids, but entitled, spoiled head coaches/New head Coaches, who think they know what's best, when all they really want to do is surround themselves with a staff of "Yes man/woman". only to destroy peoples lives.

How many sprints/hurdle coaches does Clemson need? And some of these coaches that are new have not proven themselves as coaches. SOME not ALL. It will be interesting to see how the program progresses over the next few seasons.
Do we think Elliott will handle the distance runners at Clemson or bring in someone else?
