The UNC throws position which was offering in the high 70's did have multiple individuals interviewed. But each one decided to stay put after their present college adjusted their salary for the better.

This is correct
Uncle Roman coaches high school track down in New Mexico. Eastern New Mexico has asked him on two different occasions to coach there. The offer isn't bad but he's hesitant to get into college coaching and said that school has openings quite often....
To all you wonderful coaches out there who don’t quite understand why some jobs you’re just not considered for, understand it’s not you nor your lack of experience or competency.
Jack Daniels, who recently passed away, is considered a pioneer in our sport as a coach and exercise scientist. Yet, after applying for over 50 coaching jobs, only was able to interview for 3 and only 1 offered him a job. Having to leave his family out west, he landed at SUNY Cortland where he coached multiple national championship teams.
Its not a comprehensive system where the best person is hired, but you have to model yourself behind what coaches look for these days and that’s gonna come from lots of networking and putting yourself out there it takes time so you all who are feeling the struggle if you want it bad enough don’t give up.
So what jobs are currently OPEN?
Anyone know for what event group Augusta is looking for an assistant? The only coach listed on the website is their head coach, who is distance. Based on their previous years' results, it would seem like they probably had (no assistants are listed since '23-'24) a sprints/jumps assistant.

Also, what ever happened with the Michigan position that was advertised this summer? Miami? Who left Miami?

I went on visit to ENM in 1995 to consider graduate school assistant position. It's in Portales truly spot on the map in the middle of nowhere and not a mountain in any direction as far as the eye can I see. At that time facilities were not great and track was either dirt or weeds growing. So may have improved now but winds there are very intense. It would be difficult place to recruit athletes. I didn't accept the position.
OU Throws
Rumor was correct - Justin Clickett hired as throws coach at Wake Forest.
