Isn't it a bit odd that Kiptum is busted only hours before London? The guy has supposedly put in all his training and comes to London to race and now all this comes out? If this was a scandal in a political sense, I would be very suspicious of the timing of the bust. Was it done just now for the dramatic effect? It would've been even more dramatic if they would've dragged him off the start line.
Was it done right before London because someone was worried that Kiptum might've pulled off a historic win and then it would look worse when he was busted? That makes sense. More treacherous. could he be "as innocent as all the other contenders (guilty)" but was busted to favor another runner??
Intrigue.
No a couple of days before a big marathon they give the big stars a doping test, Mo put his blood test on Instagram. Kiptum, who is WMM newbie probably turned up glowing so much they could see him from outer space. The other thing is in London, the testing is done at the Royal College with the latest gear from GlaxoSmithKline, so it is not a surprise they picked up such a blatant doper. Anti doping is still a ridiculous joke.
