Grant has never had a good indoor season, I'd pick him for 6th-8th and he will be back in outdoor. It has been a nice rebound for him after a tough XC though.

Why do you think Osmulski will get third in the 5k? I couldn't find anything that distinguishes him from the other runners except that he goes to NCC. Does he have a crazy kick or something?

He ran great at NCAA Cross (11th), he'll be ready being from NCC and I was looking for a outside the box last pick that wasn't one of the clear favorites like O'Connor, Shultz, Hodkinson.

800 is a toss up. new england has 7 guys in the field so if they don't get 2-3 All-Americans on their "home track" that is a big disappointment. DMR/ Mile double is TOUGH. IGC did it a couple years ago but outside of him it doesn't go great. There are more doubles in the Mile/ DMR than '17 and '18. It'll be hard for matteucci, lee, roberts and gilson. clear favorites are traecy and wallenkamp. Raposo from tufts is a dark horse. patel wins both. He's too good.

Stress fracture/foot injury last week. Definitely a bummer as that kid has never gotten through an actual indoor season healthy. Wish he was racing cause he is someone who could have challenged for top 5 in both

Patel wins 5k gets fourth in 3k

I sort of wish D3 Nats were a week earlier, and that the NCs all got wildcards into the D1 Nats meet. Anyone who finishes anything other than dead last wins the Nick Symmonds Award for Outstanding Achievement in the field of Excellence.

I'd put Luke Winder, who has been in school for like sixteen years, as the favorite.

Grant is going to win the 5k. Also, am I the only one that thinks having a prelim for the 3k is dumb when there is only 20 people in the field?

Why would they get a D1 wildcard? There are like 100 guys in the 3k sitting at home watching the D1 meet who are faster than the fastest D3 guy.

Prelim is required by NCAA rules. Ream them .

Doesn't mean that its not still dumb, 3Ks on back to back days or even mile is no joke

Yeah I know that if you have above 16 people for an event, you have to have prelims. If you're going to have a 3k prelim, at least make the meet Thursday- Saturday and increase the field to 24 so the eliminations actually make sense.

D3 is dumb. D1 takes only 16 guys.

Is it only in DIII rules or NCAA championship rules. This 3k appeared to go fine with 20 guys.
