Kind of a lose/lose situation there. It looked like there would be more of a race for 2nd place early on when it was evident that nobody would be challenging for first, but it turned out to be Chmiel running alone for a good portion of it.

There was SO MUCH coverage of Chmiel. No offense. I mean she’s amazing. But it was clear early on there wasn’t gonna be much of a race in the top 5 and we all would have preferred to see much more of Tuohy.

I am going to compile Top 24 at Foot Locker 1600/3200m times to Top 24 at NXN to see which really had a deeper field.
Tuouhy is special. Olympian in the making. I will make anyone a $100 bet that she runs Foot Locker either as JR or a SR.
Today the Top 23 guys speed rated 190+. Last year at FLN the top 25 guys were 190+. It’s possible the FLN number will be different next week...but doubtful.

Split screen with two lead carts would have been amazing, but overall the broadcast and production quality was much better than any of the NCAA meets that were broadcasted this year!
Hoping the Foot Locker race coverage will be as good as what Nike was able to do.
Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, I didn't read all of the prior posts, but when watching the race online, it appeared that someone fell very early in the boys' race. Has there been any discussion of this?

LV = Loudoun Valley (which very few on this board seem to be able to spell) or, in this race Purcellville. In regionals, they went as "Jungle TC." All the same.

Watched my first NXN Saturday. For a HIGH SCHOOL event, the product was amazing.
I'm exposed to other national level , teenage sports , streaming, and kudos to the folks doing the production. Especially the team scores in real time. Who knew watching XC onna phone could be exciting!
While I'm not at all a drone fan, a set of them , computer controlled to 'stay in their lanes' (and not over the heads of kids or fans) might be something to trial ? Drones at sporting events in the hands of amateurs scare the heck outta me. But pro , registered, drones would allow coverage of 'n' deep packs of kids.

As far as I know, NXN requires teams enter under club names, not school names. Loudoun Valley isn't a location; the school is Loudoun Valley, located in the Town of Purcellville, which is in Loudoun County.
Why Jungle TC vs. Purcellville in regionals vs. nationals? I don't know. I assume NXN wanted all the teams to compete under the town/city names of the school, but that's just a guess.

If you haven't figured it out yet, most of the programs that make it to meets like the Nike Meet are in states where the rules are bent in their favor, and what rules go against these programs are often ignored.
