Are you joking. It's the only way to guarantee that you'll break 2:55 in the thon. 5 reps of 18 miles. Full recovery (4 to 5 minutes). You need to do it at least five times during the final five weeks of your training cycle.
56. Stay On Your Feet the Day Before the Race.
You've invested months transforming your body into a marathon machine. But did you know that every minute spent laying or sitting down you lose coordination, balance, and muscle memory? To minimize this neuroanatomical effect, try to spend as much time on your feet the day before the marathon. Knock out some tourist activities with your family or spend a few hours wandering at the expo! With all that extra time on your feet your neurons will be ready to fire on race day!

127. Dig Deep For More
I'm running out of Tips! i'll have to dig deep and will my body into generating more. Just like at the end of the marathon, will yourself past that point where your mind gives up.

255. Diaper
Many thons are known for their long bathroom lines. This can cause stress both before and during the race. Stress impacts Confidence and as we all know you must Be and Act Confident to break 6 hours in the thon! So let's eliminate this stress! It takes a very confident person indeed, or a really old person, or a baby, to wear a diaper! No matter which of these categories applies to you, now you don't have to stand in line for that Pre-Race Dump. Just do it right there in Corral 12. Everyone around you will be super jealous of your clever trick and they'll all ask you if you smell anything odd. Just tell them yes. You smell pure Confidence!
256. Celebrate You
You trained hard all summer long. You woke up early on Sunday and even ran as much as five times a week. This thon is yours and this day is a celebration of your perseverance! So take every opportunity to enjoy it. Walk along and chat at the aid stations. Take selfies all over the course. And by all means, stop right on the finish line, put both hands in the air, and feel the rush of victory! If you're running with friends, make sure to run side by side to feel the collective energy. If possible, hold hands to show solidarity as you go! It's All About You!

Bugs are very good protein for you so make sure to eat some before the race to keep those muscles strong!

257. Employ Wu-Tang as Your Pace Group
Through practice and the multiple 5 x 18 workouts that you have already done, you should have a good feel for your marathon pace. But, it can't hurt to have seven original gangstas by your side to remind you of that. Remember what I said in my very first tip "run the first mile at the pace you expect to average for the whole marathon. You can’t put running time in the bank" and "patience will pay huge dividends". Well who knows more about "bank" and "dividends" than the group who rapped about "C.R.E.A.M."? Besides, when Ghostface Killa and the Raekwon put a beat down on you for going out to fast, it will remind you that Coachjason Rules Everything Around Me - C.R.E.A.M.! You'll thank me later.

57. Man-up with Vagisil.
Vagisil is not just for itchy beavers but has many beneficial uses for any man trying to break 6 hours in the 'thon. Got a blister on your foot that's slowing you down? Rub some vagisil on that boo boo! Tummy starting to hurt? Take one of those bottles off your fuel belt and dissolve some vagisil in it? Legs feeling tired? Apply vagisil copiously!
512. The Taper and Throwing in the Towel
The thon us supertough and you don't want to end up superhurt. So make sure you have an exit strategy in place. Taper long, and taper hard; I recommend no running at all for at least four weeks prior to the goal race. On Monday the week of the race you should run one mile as fast as you possibly can. Only one mile, though. No need to warm up because you should be so tapered. If you feel any bit of soreness or discomfort, DO NOT DO THE RACE! This is a sign that your taper failed. Sell your bib if possible and better luck next time!

513. Never Quit
Never, ever, ever quit. Don't stop. Even if you bonk, sprain an ankle, throw out your back, and break toes on both feet, drag yourself forward. Even if your nipples are spouting blood like so many sprinklers, keep moving. The 'thon cannot win. You must win the thon. Only by crossing that line do you win. Even if it takes you 8 hours, you must keep going. Don't worry, the volunteers will keep the aid stations running for you. DO NOT QUIT. You got this!
890. After the race, to ensure that everyone knows what you have just accomplished, go to Denny's wearing your sweaty run outfit, plus rock that finisher medal. In fact, that medal should not come off for at least a week, and you should let everyone know how you earned that bad boy.Random strangers, Starbucks workers, school children, will all be amazed when you explain how 26.2 miles turns into an oversize novelty medal. Also, at bars, get ready for the girlies to throw themselves at you.
101. Don't forget to run through the finish, and lean at the tape. This makes it easier for people to put your finisher's medal around your sweaty neck.
