Do you have any insight into the position? Will it be internal, what is the pay, do they already have someone lined up, etc.? I would be interested in the position if it wasn't already determined. Was this firing just because he wasn't getting results?

East Carolina just hired a guy in October.
Croghan will still be working at Kent State just not coaching. Career change.
Some very experienced coaches volunteer to A. have official access to the track facilities so they can make $$$ from private lessons using a college track, and B. have a college coaching position on their resume and only work 15 hours/week for that.
Others volunteer to break into coaching and use 1-2 years of volunteering like a masters degree in college coaching.

Does anyone know of any schools that have GA positions and have a masters program in exercise science/kinesiology, etc? I'm in oh, and want to stay at least within a few hours, a state around it wouldn't hurt. Thanks for any info.

God that was a painful release to read. I want to vomit. Every paragraph said the same thing "she's positive, enthusiastic, blah blah." Could have summed that up story in 5 sentences or less.
I thought maybe you all were exaggerating the lack of experience. You were not. No man would ever get a job - anywhere - with this resume. I give it 3 years and she is moving on to something else and that program is run into the ground by Smith.
She will move on to her own great position inside 3 years and Mike Smith will be just as successful as Heins was ... Ron Mann set the stage for everything.
Anyone know who Chorny hired at Miami? I know he was looking for a female, but haven't seen or heard any updates as to who got the gig.
And anyone got the scoop on Kent State? Croghan is actually out this time after years of nonsense on these boards.
