Are you suggesting he should attempt to make the Ethiopian 10k team or he should attempt to salvage his time in this race?
Combination of losing AND running 2:07. That will be the reason.
It looks like he will finish in 2:07:xx. Probably not good enough to make the Ethiopian Olympic Team.

Being 38 years old is way too old, he was an amazing runner with one of the best talents ever seen, but ppl have to realize everyone with no exception run faster under the age of 35 yrs old... and I pushed that number, should be lower, this age is downhill from here
