Tuohy was getting extra help at 16 which is why she has barely improved since.
She should adopt Andrews strategy. Run like crap your whole pro career in your 20’s then get on the sauce at 30 and have your “breakthrough” 5K race with more than a 20 second improvement between races. Our hero!! 😂 and there you go. She’s ALL THAT. Hopefully Tuohy though won’t be that desperate and arrogant

Andrews is 29. This is her peak, after years of altitude now under belt. She ran a 14:43 in ‘23, then suffered injury along the way, but now she’s been able to string months and months of solid training.

Sure. Now. What happened to all her 20’s. She done zero all that time until the sauce kicked in this year

Running a 14:43 at 27yrs is not zero. Going sub4 in the 1500m at ~25yrs in 2021, before going to altitude, is not zero. She has not been at the very top, but been fairly consistently hacking away at it.
I was at the meet. She didn't look overweight at all. The noticeable thing about how she looked was that she was ripped. She was by far the most muscular of the women in that race.
Can you give one example of a sub 14:30 woman that is that "muscular"?
No. I also don't think she can run sub-14:30. That is truly international class. Tuohy is very good and will continue to improve, but I don't think she will run sub-14:30.
Here is what most sub-14:30 runners look like (Konstanze Kloserhalfen is faster than all American women ever except Alicia Monson's 14:19). And it is a brutal reality that looking like this is neither healthy nor sustainable for people who have to "cut weight" to get this thin:

Really? What planet do you live on. She's done nothing worthwhile nationally...
lol, I don’t think one has to get that thin; koko is an exaggeration.
But uninjured fluidity in motion is probably a good requisite.
Yeah basically none of the athletes look like that. There is a reasons he stands out. But we are talking like 5lbs of muscle and fat between the thin and gaunt looks.
She made a world team. What an idiotic post. She is one of the top Americans in history. You made yourself sound dumb and desperate.
Andrews is the top nothing. Speaking of dumb and desperate. Give it a break already loser.
Who are we talking about? Andrews? Sorry but one good season doesn’t make one a top anything in history LOL. And many people make a World team. Bottom line is she will never be an Olympian. Too old for 2028. And too many incredible young rising stars.
