As a Noe fan, would love to see her push the pace more in these races. Likely still gets kicked down but could at least string out the field as her close is not her strength. Still see her as a huge marathon prospect in a few years.
She looks 30 years old. It’s so ridiculous. My daughter is 07 and no way they are 3 years apart. Even if she was born in 2004, a 21 year old freshman is absurd
I believe Duke's anchor is the same one that lost the baton at ACCs when her hand hit the runner to her right. She still swings the baton wide. Didn't learn her lesson.
Rose didn't have a "full mental collapse". It's called going out too fast. Even if she was very mentally strong she can't handle going out in 56 flat.
I think you could make the argument though that this is a mental issue. She needs to learn how to control herself in that 400m — she consistently rips the first lap in finals and then blows up. Once or twice and you can chalk it up to tactics, but I can’t imagine her coach told her to go out in 56.1. That’s called not keeping your cool.
But that's not a "collapse" like someone else claimed that it was. It's called not being able to control yourself on the first lap. Hopefully her pro coach can get that problem under control.
What's her pro prospects? I would sign her based on talent as a shoe brand, but on the condition that she's in a shoe based distance group. Frankly her complete lack of growth in tactics as disappointing as a senior, but im willing to blame it on the LSU team not really having a distance program and give her a shot.
You can fix tactics but you can't fix talent. I would sign her for sure. Choke artist or not she's been in basically every NCAA final, indoors and out, in the past 3-4 years.
Yes, and remember Rose was the NCAA outdoor champion two years ago.
And Rachel Forsyth was the top American born freshman. And sophomore Paityn Noe ran well too. We have some home grown talent that is unfortunately being overshadowed by "freshman" from Africa in their 20's.
