This is idiotic. No one would excuse sexual assault except Trump Supporters including Gaines
And yet Thomas stuck his member into her hand and then creepily smiled at her. No consequences, it wasn't investigated. Note that it wasn't Gaines who experienced this, but another swimmer and Olympian. Although Gaines was harmed by having to see his penis, at least he didn't force it into her hand and smile at her like he did this other poor girl
How exactly was Champlin Park's state title "a total team effort" when the male player pitched every single effing inning in the whole tournament and the female teammate you yourself say is "their best player" didn't get a chance to pitch at all?
It was a total team effort because they would not have won the title without their stellar defense and clutch hitting. They did not rely on a single player. And contrary to your mischaracterization, Abrahamson did play as an outfield and had three RBIs in the state tournament. It is very common for a softball team to use only one starting pitcher in the play-off. Maybe you don't know that because you have no interest in the sport.
As for MR being built differently, that's just your imagination. She never went through male puberty, and you see many girls who are built like that playing high school basketball and volleyball. Again, something you are totally unfamiliar due to your lack of interest.
What a long post, just to demonstrate that you are oblivious to the actual harm this would have on the child involved.
You get a pass, since as an anonymous niche message board poster nobody cares what you think. (Same as me.)
With 1.5M followers on X alone, where this attack was posted, Gaines gets no such pass for harming a child.
She should apologize immediately. Even her followers are saying this was gross and poor judgement.
Gaines did not harm anyone. The player already knows he's a boy, and knows he's a big part of why his team won the state title. So where is the harm?
If you can't understand the harm in being held up by a celebrity to 1.5 million people for ridicule, you aren't capable of a serious conversation about children's wellbeing.
Ironic that people allegedly concerned with the feelings of losing baseball teams are this oblivious to obvious harms of social media bullying.
Gosh, it's almost as if it's not actually about kids' wellbeing to you. Or only certain kids.
the decision to allow a healthy, able-bodied, physically fit 17-year-old boy on this HS girls' softball team virtually guaranteed that any female athlete playing the same position as the boy would be deprived of the chance to show what she can do.
They look pretty happy in the photo.
Lucky for them you are on the case, to tell them of all the "harm" they've experienced.
Riley Gaines compared a trans girl being on a girl’s team to Biles being child molested by serial child molester Larry Nassar. Opinions about trans athletes aside, what a witch lol
Wow.
Nassar literally penetrated dozens if not hundreds of patients in his "care."
Gaines is truly disgusting.
Even her followers are telling her she's out of pocket here.
She lost out on championship victories she trained her entire life for because a man pretending to be women entered the women’s races at NCAA. Apparently, the results will now be amended to show Gaines as the victor, but like losing to drug cheat and results altered after the fact, it feels like a hollow victory.
Now you are lying.
The highest she ever came in a race behind a trans athlete was.... FIFTH.
"The results will now be amended to show Gaines as the victorthe fourth-place finisher." -- fixed that for you.
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
If that's the worst "harm" you can make up, that's pretty weak stuff. Much less harmful than being bullied online by a celebrity at age 17.
Paula Scanlan said that being in the locker room with trans athlete and fellow UPenn swimmer Lia Thomas triggered nightmares of her past sexual assault.
Your reading comprehension is as piss-poor as Biles’ is.
Read her X post again. "…your best player is a boy.” She’s not addressing the boy; she’s addressing the school officials and other (alleged) adults that allowed this utter nonsense to occur.
99% of adult readers and 100% of kids understand that Gaines post is bullying.
Maybe you don't, but that's on you.
Obviously this post is negative toward the child and brings unwanted attention to all of the children involved.
Absolute clownery to pretend otherwise.

Do you have the courage of your convictions to say you would be OK with a celebrity finding your daughter's sports team photos and ridiculing them across social media for likes?
If they were cheating? Absolutely. All day and twice on Sundays.

I think Gaines was ridiculing the situation, not specifically the player. What's ridiculous is that the Minnesota athletic association allows this. Also, if the player wanted to avoid controversy, they could have not played girls' sports.

Sorry, but if you post a photo of a child with a mocking comment, directly prompting thousands of vile insults to be directed to that child (not to mention death threats), you don't get to say 'Oh golly, I meant to ridicule the situation, not the picture."
If this influencer gave af about harming kids, one extremely obvious step to take would be not using a photo of the child in the post.
Jesus. If some celebrity doesn't like your child's actions, do you want them posting her photo for the reactions of 1.5M people, thousands of them outright abusive?

No. You don't want that.
Oh, come off your high horse. You are full of crap.
In fairly recent memory, there were two cases of unfair participation in the Little League World Series: Danny Almonte playing as a 14-year-old, and more recently a team with more than half its members living outside of its boundaries. Both instances received a lot of publicity and ridicule on social media, including from celebrities. Was this “bullying kids”, too? Or do only delusional narcissists deserve protection from “bullying”?
