Why did Shelby slow down by 1.5 seconds that lap? Is there an issue with the pace lights?
Cranny was falling off so she slowed down. Kelati is taking the lead. Roe is moving into third.

Ah, here it is.

Looks like the American record is gone. Hopefully they can stay ahead of the world standard.
Also gone…
30:23 pace for Cranny, 30:52 pace for Kosgei

Damn was hoping Shelby would just finish it
Not watching live, but per timing site, Shelby rabbited through 5600 meters. Last lap was in the 73s after consecutive 72-flats.
Through 8K:
Cranny/Kelati - 30:32 pace
Kosgei - 30:01 pace
My bad, Kosgei 31:01
guess Amanda Vestri still hasn't recovered from that half marathon. shes way back.
Solid drone camera work
2 laps to go:
Cranny/Kelati - 30:42 pace
Kosgei - 31:08 pace
Cranny for the win! 🇺🇸
Nice update to Roe's 32:17 pb from last summer.
Cranny 1:07 last lap and crazy kick for a 30:36 - beats Kelati by 2 seconds. didnt think she had anything left in the tank.
Kosgei 31:02 -- #2 NCAA all-time
Kosgei #2 all-time collegiate
1) Valby 30:50.43 (2024)
2) Kosgei 31:02.73 (2025)
3) Koll 31:18.07 (2010)
Valby's CR survives by 12 seconds.
Kosgei: 15:00/16:02 . . . hard way to run a pr . . . 2nd fastest a-t collegian.
Geez, is the standard seriously 30:20? That is NUTS
Elise Cranny wins 30:36! Parker Valby’s record of 30:50 stays alive
LMAO that people thought Cranny was going sub 30, and even suggested Kelati and Ryan might too.

Kosgei is only a freshman - Valby's 10K record is on notice.
