Only reason MSU would be out is if the committee robs them and gives Mid-Atlantic an undeserved spot. But then again, that happens every year.
It’s a math equation?
Well Butler will do alright, probably place somewhere in the low 20's. A Mid-Atlantic team will be last. Then we'll clearly see how great this equation is.
Also I feel like the Mid-Atlantic isn't the region to complain about getting undeserved men's spots. You're right that the committee gives the Mid-Atlantic two spots every year because they have to :)
Looks like no dancing for Georgetown - they got same score as Princeton (80), but Princeton got the auto based on the tiebreak, and Georgetown finishing 3rd does not give them a shot for nationals based on projections.
Gtown took a step forward this year but they've been pretty consistent of late at getting an at-large from the region and then placing 29-31 at the big dance. So it's understandable that folks might want to see some new squads on the nationals starting line
Navy is gonna be a force in that region sooner than later. Two freshmen who ran 4:04 full mile in HS didn't crack their top 7 this year. Nice peaking job by PSU to claim the title "best of the rest"

What a finish in the mid-Atlantic - 3 teams 80-80-81 yikes!
Possible Mid-Atlantic Chaos? Margo Langon got 2nd but shown at bottom of live results. Was he DQ'd? Not listed as that yet or reflected in scores but if so Nova drops to 4th and pushes Navy in.

Woah, looks like Georgetown is in now? And that helps Iona to advance, pushing Cornell in?
I assume we will see Schoppe at nationals. He and (especially) Fouad will swing the title race
Illinois State won't make it but they hugely outperformed projections. Have not heard of a single guy in that top 7. Tough day for the Mizzou project, not quite where I thought they'd be given their recruiting success over the past few cycles
