Joachim, thanks for keeping us all up to date.
I am coming in from Canada for my first marathon. I am bringing my wife and son with me.
Looking at the devastation, and I completely understand why this marathon might be canceled. We will be coming no matter what. Plane tickets are paid for, hotel is non-refundable.. This marathon is also part of a larger trip to visit other places outside of Spain. All I can say is, I hope they make the right decision for the people of Valencia. They are the ones who have lost lives, homes and jobs. Whatever is decided, I will understand.

This strongly indicates the marathon will go on as scheduled. Spaniards fighting against any return to normalcy need to find a new edict and pick better battles than this.

Everything is guesswork at this stage - they must give us an update in the next 48 hours, or else myself (and many others) will be forced to cancel our accomodation before charges are invoked
