The thing people on this forum fail to understand is that in the real world, hardly anybody knows who she is. The only time people know a runners name is for a brief period during the Olympics, once every four years, and a little here and there otherwise.
To say that she will be rich because she looks a certain way is a wild overstatement. Even in running she wouldn’t be a companies first choice to partner with because there are others who are more accomplished than her who are equally as attractive. Ie: Gaby Thomas, SML, Anna Hall etc.

There is really nothing to all of this, it's very straight forward. The hope/belief is that as soon as the "right of first refusal expires" she essentially becomes a "free agent" which could then open up a potential bidding war. Just waiting to try to get the most money. The problem is, it doesn't really work that way in running - signing a sponsorship deal in running is just not the same as pro-sports like NFL, MLB, NHL, etc. where it is a team vying for your ability to help them win and make money for the team's franchise. For running, often the best deals are big single offers that you need to take when they are made (too good to pass up). She's 100% going to end up with a deal and make a lot of money, but, it will be interesting to see if this strategy works in this new NIL deal era.
Why on earth has GT's not signed her for a Kombucha deal? They seem primed to begin real marketing and she would be a great fit. Go stand in a bodega/grocery store and watch who buys the Kombucha.

You are obviously confused. These right of first refusal clauses associated with an NIL deal are as new as NIL deals, and NIL deals are a very recent phenomenon.
In the past, before NIL deals, if an athlete showed promise after they graduated, they would get one or more offers from various entities, and then the athlete was free to pick which entity to go work for. There was no right-of-first-refusal clause hanging over their head, which could be used to block them from freely choosing who they wanted to work for.
