Incidentally he was blasting gangsta rap music in that one sweat elite video.
Are the five days up that the police detained him do they could investigate? Has he been formally charged?
Ghost claims he pleaded “not guilty,” which would mean, yes he has been officially charged. But, he didn’t say how or where he got this “information.”

28/09/2023. Latest: Zane has been freed on bail of $13,000+, with next hearing on October 23, 2023. He was ordered to surrender his passport and other travel documents.
The good news, for Zane, is that he was freed on Bail, and this is unusual because Rape or alleged Rape, is in most countries a Non Bailable Offense. Most countries (if not all) keep suspects in rape cases behind bars.
This means the Court may throw out the Rape charges for lack of sufficient evidence. As to the weapons charges, no info on that, as of yet.
If I'm wrong in my assessments, I stand corrected.
He needs to get the f out of there ASAP.
Also, there is no such crime as alleged rape. The charge is sexual assault, which they seem to be saying could be attempted rape, which is a lesser charge.
He needs to flee Kenya as soon as possible.
Time to put that EPO fuelled fitness to the test and hit that 60 miler to the Tanzanian border. Hard.

Have Matt Fox make sweat elite video out of it!
"The 33-year-old is also accused of possessing an unlicensed firearm as well unspecified drugs allegedly found after police were called to his house following a complaint of attempted rape."
Is Zane supplying EPO to the Kenyans or are the "unspecified drugs" recreational? This could get very interesting.

He needs to be thrown out of Kenya and be banned from the sport for life. This is what we're talking about when we say foreigners who don't care for the country are the worst causes of the doping problem.
being thrown out of Kenya will only happen after her serves his jail time.

There is the possibility all charges may be dropped, including the gun charges if it is not possible to establish provenance and ownership of the AK47. With regard to the rape allegations, we may guess lack of evidence meaning Zane might be off the hook on that one.
If all charges are dropped (possible) Zane could remain in Kenya without a rap sheet, but it might be advisable for him to lay low for a few months, abroad, before returning to Kenya, if that is his plan. He seems to dislike living in NZ. He's invested the past 15 years of his life in Kenya, built a residence there and also dabbled in accommodation letting (with Jake) to foreigners. Kenya is Zane's home, for better or worse.
If my forecast turns out different, I stand corrected.
There is nothing in that article stating there is a lack of evidence for the rape charge.
Quite the opposite, it states he is released on bond as he faces a rape and weapons charges. Which means enough evidence was gathered to formally charge him with both offenses.
More likely, he is being released so he can sell his house and gather enough money for his defense and to provide a retirement fund for every government official involved in this case.
His best option is to flee the country.
His second best option is to pay off the rape victim to make that charge go away. Then, pay the cops and judges to make the weapons charges go away.
According to the article, “unspecified drugs” were also found.
The list of charges is growing and now he is formally charged and in the system.
An unbiased, lenient trial is highly unlikely. He is a white foreigner, a guest in their country, and he is raping Kenyan citizens, has a weapon that can kill many Kenyan citizens, doped himself, got banned, accused Kenyans of doping.
They will throw the book at him and make an example of him.
He already has a terrible reputation due to his doping, lying and attempted coverup of his doping.
The line to provide the prosecution with incriminating terrible character references for Robertson will be long.

If they're PEDs, he could possibly be supplying to foreign athletes training in Kenya because he's not on friendly terms with many Kenyans.

Your angle seems extremely severe compared to what I envisage. Perhaps you're correct but perhaps not. Others may offer less dramatic predictions.
Now that he's out on Bail, he could conceivably do a runner and cross a border, e.g. Tanzania or Uganda. I don't think Kenya have an extradition treaty with N.Z.
Suggesting a border crossing might not seem good, but the alternative may be worse.
Not sure how his Bail will play out. He has almost one month to get his affairs in order.

It's Africa. Everyone Carrie around AK-47s like they are purses. 8ve seen Blackhawk down.
Yep. Automatic weapons in Africa are like purses in the US, a common accessory.
He could become a youtuber. Take the banned substances and see if he can run faster times. I would be more interested in watching that than running shoe reviews.
Dude, it is severe. He’s a white foreigner charged with rape of a Kenyan citizen and being in possession of a weapon that could kill 100s of Kenyan citizens. The punishment for having the AK47 is life in prison, in a developing African nation with a corrupt, dangerous jail system. What do you consider severe?
No rape charge, no drug charge.
He is out on bond for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
