Can someone explain to me why Kenya has 4 runners in the final even though Tsegay is the reigning champ? I thought each country can only take 3 runners?
Arop was the best guy in that field by a margin. As they came through the bell and he was running on the outside of lane 2 that entire 120m from 400 to 280 to go I thought he might struggle if the front got going. In the end all that extra distance didn't even matter and he just simply rolled them with basically no drama.

Yeah I’m excited to see him on the circuit now. A return to the 1:42s is possible for the event.

I will say this - I don't understand Hassan constantly spotting Kipyegon 6-7 meters when they are essentially running the same speed. This makes absolutely no sense to me. At this pace it's about a second of running? She did the same thing in the 1500 and the extra effort to make it up cost her a place. The longer this goes and presumably faster it gets, just makes it more and more difficult for her to make it up. Again, I don't understand it unless she is legit running for 2nd.
