Free education. Running in every meet that she chooses. Guessing she isn't starving either. You should tell every male sprinter that they're foolish to earn $100K per year rather than being a defensive back in the NFL earning $2M per year. Fools.
My advice is for her to leave now, cut ties with the Johnsons and Huntington, seek out an agent who will provide her with the support she needs to find a new training camp that will help her make the Paris 2024 team and become a darling of NBC's Olympic coverage and make a boatload of money in the process.

What makes you think that every male sprinter would be able to play in the NFL? Being a defensive back in the NFL is about more than being fast. There is some skill involved and most sprinters don't have that skill. Also, the average weight of a defensive back in the NFL is about 200 pounds. How many sprinters weight 200 pounds? The median salary of an NFL player is less than half of $2 million. It's more like $800,000. I'll take a guess and state that Fred Kerley & Noah Lyles can make more on the track than they can in the NFL. Fools.
No, not like Drew Hunter. Like Addy Wiley with a fresh start. Why do you keep bringing other names into this conversation? Why is it so wrong to wish our most promising talent a lucrative future in a safe space? This girl has the IT factor to be a star this upcoming Olympics. Like a Katie Ledecky/Allyson Felix/Michael Phelps type star with endorsements to boot. LIFE CHANGING money. I watched that 800 she ran in Memphis about 100 times. I've never seen such a dominating performace by such a young athlete. If she has a REAL coach (no offense to Austin Roark or Josh Neideck, but honestly, cmon), she could be a serious podium threat. I mean who is she even training with now? Does Huntington even have guys who can handle the workouts she needs to be doing to reach the top?
Most wouldn't male it in the NFL. That is the point. Many fast guys choose to be sprinters because that is the best thing for them. Wiley likely would be just another Dudek or Hutchins had she gone elsewhere.

Your logic makes no sense. If Wiley is as good as you say that she is, and don't get me wrong, I think that she is good, why would she just be another Dudek or Hutchins? Wouldn't it make sense that training at altitude in a place like Boulder would make her even better?
Also, your comparison of Wiley to Hutchins & Dudek really makes no sense. Dudek had some injury issues and had a pretty good season. Both of the are around 15:30 for 5000. Wiley would beat both of them at the 800 & 1500 but would not have much of a chance at beating them over 3000 or in XC.
Youvare correct. I agreebl that she woukd be even better if at Boulder. She would obviously gone sub 4 and made the team. She would have run 1:58. She can't be doping if you claim that she woukd be even better if she was training elsewhere. I hope Astro agrees with you. He thinks she woukd be worse under different conditions. I hope everyone else here comes around to your way of thinking.

My brother in the United Brethren in Christ -- are you okay?
I question the advice she is receiving because it is keeping her from earning real money in a sport where real money is hard to find.
This is WHY Wiley is so successful. She is focused on training and WINNING rather than on money. She was even a little upset after USATFs because she didn't make the team. She doesn't give a damn about age, being in college, being NAIA, etc. She wants to WIN. Period. I laughed when someone mentioned an NIL deal with a ChapStick company or something earlier in this thread. Would you seriously rather have a stupid deal and take Instagram pictures of you putting on ChapStick or BE FIFTH AT USATFS AS A TEENAGER?! Sadly, a lot of these young runners today would rather have the ChapStick deal. Emily Cole from Duke has huge NIL deals ... and she was dead last at NCAAs this year in the steeplechase. Wiley is now the #2 performer in both the 1500 and 800 behind only two people who won international gold medals. And she's a FRESHMAN. She is without a doubt the most talented runner we have seen since Mary Cain and, unlike Tuohy, who has been running year-round since at least 7th grade (so almost 10 years), Wiley has only been running full time since the winter of her senior year (18 months). One's potential is nearly tapped out while the other's potential hasn't even begun to be realized.
The future of American milers looks bright - and her name is ADDY WILEY!
If she doesn't give a damn about being in college, then why is she in college? She should go pro now. She can always go back and get her degree later.
Right? These fools keep making it seem like she'll forget how to run if she leaves Huntington. Like I said, maybe she should work with a coach who has helped women make teams, and not a jumps/sprints coach and some guy named Josh Neideck.
Why can't she WIN and set records AND make some CASH?

That is not what I am saying. She obviously cares about college and that's why she is there. I meant she isn't using it as some excuse to get her butt handed to her by a bunch of professionals. "Oh, I'm only 19 and a freshman, I'm perfectly fine with getting crushed by Olympians." Not something you will ever hear her say.
She has stuck her nose in every pro race she has run this year. She WON four out of the eight races where she ran against pros - Camel City, Music City, Ed Murphey, and the Beale Street Mile.
The only pros who have beaten her this year are Hiltz 3x, Johnson 2x, McGee, Mu, Hurta-Klecker, Gear, and Schlauchtenhaufen. She also beat McGee, Mu, Schluachtenhaufen x2, Dani Jones, Quigley, MacLean, Osika, MacKay, former NCAA Champs Camp Bennett and Degenero, and a long list of others.
It is all Tuohy fans who hate her. They have every excuse for Tuohy. It eas always about age but now that one has faded and they only really have the college thing. "She only lost to a bunch of professionals."
