    Per StrideReport, some of them we're in the portal or entering in it before it was announced he was leaving. Also I don't think any college athlete is gonna want to stay at a program with no coach.

    only 1 on women's side was in the portal prior to the announcement

    Not that it matters, but just read the announcement of his hiring in the Albuquerque Journal. The guy's from Scotland, ran the 1500 under Franklin at Butler. Sounds like he was good, several conference titles and a Scottish championship, but didn't mention his times. Maybe Franklin recommended him. Has UK ties which built Franklin's teams at UNM.

    You have no idea what you're talking about. Lots of athletes stick around to see who the new coach is before they go into the portal.

    Is Laura Roderick still bound for New Mexico?

    She's a good talent, and performed well despite coming from a weak set up. I'm looking forward to seeing her progress in a stronger environment.

    NAU got grad transfer Ruby Smee from SF. She's a distance runner, even made the NCAA Indoor 5000M finals last season. should be a big help.

    On the Louisville Track coaches page Franklin is the only person listed, so I guess he cleaned house or all the others simply chose to leave.

    Louisville coach is moving to Bradley. Big round Robin between the 3 schools. Why didn't they all just pay their guy more rather than have all 3 move?

    3 Bradley women are in the portal.. seems they may likely end up at UNM. Wondering if the 4:10 1500 girl ends up in the portal too.
