"Agreed" to part ways. Really? What naive person believes that?? Good riddance Tucker. I'm sure pootin and Moscow would love to pick you up so you can spew your ruZZian propaganda over in that barbaric country
Old Dominion is corrupt. They got pills to sue anyone. Not sure why Fox settled. Is that chump change for them? Do they want to protect their privacy by avoiding discovery? I'd love to see what discovery on Dominion would yield. Does anyone know, would Dominion as the plaintiff be subject to discovery?
Fox settled because they were worried they would lose at trial. $787 million is not chump change for any company.
Discovery was not avoided. Discovery was done. Case was at trial. We have plenty of emails and texts attached to publicly filed documents, including all the stuff Carlson said, and we KNOW why Fox caved in and settled.
Both parties to a civil lawsuit are subject to reciprocal discovery. How does any adult in the US not know that basic court procedure?
If Dominion did all the stuff Fox News claimed they did and rigged an election, you would have hundreds of documents right now to be talking about. You have none. Fox had none. Fox didn't even try to run a defense that what they were saying was true. Court found over 20 Fox statements were falsehoods. Fox admitted that.
But keep pretending, weirdo. That's all you ever do.
My impression with negotiated settlements is that BOTH sides have some fear of losing. Why did Dominion settle?
More evidence to suggest how left-leaning the message board posters are on LetsRun: Carlson and Lemon both leave Fox and CNN, respectively, the same day. A thread is created for both. Currently, the Carlson thread has 175 posts while the Lemon one has only 22. Lots of Liberals trying to stuff Carlson in the face of the Conservatives here, but very few Conservatives to stick Lemon in the face of the Liberals.
Cope. Tucker was a flag bearer for the alt right and traitors. Don Lemon didn’t cost CNN 800 million.
Apparently, the clown moderators do not understand what "evidence" means. There is reporting from multiple media outlets that Carlson was forced out by Murdoch himself. Other reports say that none of the employees at Fox News (including Carlson himself) knew it was happening until today. There is also a video clip of Carlson himself stating "we'll be back Monday" on Friday's show. Would someone with the "#1 show in US television news" voluntarily and abruptly walk away without providing any notice whatsoever? He was fired and everyone knows it.
Will the butthurt Tucker fanboi mods now retract their lie and restore the thread's original title?
Fox News announced the stunning departure of its top-rated host Monday with no explanation, but people familiar with the situation who were not authorized to comment publicly said the decision to fire Carlson came straight from Fox Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch with input from board members and other Fox Corp. executives.

Apples and bowling balls. Two different things. The two guys have significantly different popularity and significantly different notoriety. And they got sh!tcanned for very different things in very different contexts. AND look at the whacko defenses being raised for Carlson, which are as contradictory as Carlson was in private, while no Lemon fans (if any even exist) seem to be conjuring up explanations and defenses for him. That's the differences between the threads, not any of your virtue signaling nonsense.
Your post was racist against blacks. And I seem to remember you have a racism problem against Asians too. Disgusting imo
What makes you the determinant of what is or is not racist? Abraham Lincoln would be labeled a racist by today's standards. Washington and Jefferson would be tarred and feathered and shunned. Even now the statues of their contemporaries are in storage or decapitated. That being said I did not read Karen's post, but I believe strongly in free speech.
One thing I hate about all media is the fact that the hosts never get a chance to say an honest goodbye to their audiences. Normally they are yanked right after or before their shifts and the public which has bought the products and services they advertise for their employers never get to hear their parting remarks and thank yous.

Dominion settled because it would take years to get their money if it had gone to the trial. Fox would not give up until they exhaust all the appeals. They and their shareholders would rather get $787.5 million today than getting $1 billion five years from now.

Because Dominion's reputation/brand/goodwill was cleared by the judge's findings of fact that Fox published material falsehoods at least 20 times, because Dominion was able to publicly file many of the documents where Fox admitted they deliberately misled people like yourself, and because Fox News promised to hand Dominion a check for $787 million. With all of those goals accomplished, I suspect Dominion decided paying more lawyer bills was no longer good ROI. They got everything they wanted and more.

LOL ... the Brojos changed the title of this thread never having had a job in the real world. ... Certain troublesome employees planned for firing are offered the opportunity to sign a legal "agreed to part ways" document. Murdock agrees not to sue Carlson for the lawsuit money, and Carlson agrees not to sue Murdock/Fox for wrongful termination.

EXACTLY! What does dominion have to hide? What were they afraid of coming out in discovery 🤔
This does not sound like the actions of a company who has our best interests at heart!
After Max Siegel and Seb Coe heard the disaterous ticket sales numbers, they immidiately called a :Press Conference and shoved Mike Reilly, Track Town USA and Oregon LOC under the bus.
Now after last weeks 787 Million dollar libel settlement, Fox News execs are shoving carlson, etc. under the bus.
I think the Fox News shareholders will fire the Fox News execs as soon as they meet.
