parker is just another name in the long list of tuohy's seasonal competitors through the years, so many runners has gotten the valbymania treatment, like taylor ewert, jenna hutchins, zofia dudek, marlee starliper, sydney masciarelli, brynn brown and the list goes on
bandwagon haters jump from one competitor to competitor, last year, it was natalie cook and valby, this year its add wiley now
its not katelyn tuohy fans thats pitting PV to KT, its actually the bandwagon fans who always wish for katelyn tuohy's downfall, its the bandwagon fans who always say that everyone will be better than katelyn tuohy, and that everyone has an upside and KT dont, so many negative predictions and ill wishes, they are so insecure
I kinda feel bad about them, they are robbing themselves of something so special of watching, supporting and witnessing history with Katelyn Tuohy
i think thats just life, no matter what you do, some ppl will not be happy for you because i guess their life is pathethic, that they dont want others to succeed
its so amazing to support an athlete like katelyn tuohy and im proud and happy to be her fan
This is not a good weekend for those who received the "valbymania" treatment since 2018. I won't list the results - anyone can find them.

Maybe when she can duplicate Hassan's or Gidey's feats which is extremely unlikely. We are second rate on the global stage though we should still give credit where it is due.

I think this is a fair criticism but I would not say it is extremely unlikely (perhaps just unlikely). Gidey at 21 beats Touhy at 5000 by over a minute but that minute likely will drop to 45s this year. No way she drops 45s more next year (when she is 21) but who is to say where KTs ceiling is? Once she goes pro then her training will involve altitude and less multitasking from being in school or sacrificing individual progress for the team. Does that mean she will catch Gidey? I wouldn't place a bet for it or against it. KT just keeps improving so let's just wait and see.

Kev2 has been questioning how much Tuohy would improve for years now. If the measuring stick is now a world record holder and she comes up short against that I would not call that a total failure on her part.
Does anyone know KTs 1500 split from the DMR? She looked like she was dying the last hundred so I would think here 1500 was probably a little better overall than her 1600.
