You are not treating it as a just a human interest story. If someone announces on Instagram they are having a baby or getting married, people respond with congratulations. No one questions whether or not it is something that should be celebrated. But if someone announces they are gay then for you it is about pushing a liberal agenda, or at least something they should keep to themselves because "no one cares".

There have been posts on this thread disparaging homosexuality and Nico himself for coming out. That is why I said that this thread is proof that coming out is significant in giving an example to others who see this homophobic behavior in day to day life - that is the import.
So I ask again, how is this thread proof that liberals are promoting a culture war and passing out benefits based on sexual preferences? Give some examples of posts supporting that.

My response to the above comment started the retort. Heterosexuality is the norm in society, and generally throughout nature. It is pretty clear there is a liberal driven movement to disparage the family unit and traditional American values. If you wish to deny that there is such a cause, leads to me having nothing else to can say.

That quote was in direct response to someone criticizing Nico coming out because, as the poster claimed, heterosexuality is never celebrated. That is what led to the response you took issue with. The "culture war" as you call it wasn't started by the quote you responded to, and certainly that is not an example of liberals passing out benefits based on sexual preferences.
I never said that you personally disparaged homosexuality or Nico on this thread - I said that several have and that disproves your claim that this is merely some human interest grab by Nico.
Nico’s announcement is human interest, little difference to Allyson having a baby, or Sydney getting married. The thread proves that woke liberals are still promoting a culture war. The law of the land is equal opportunity, not equality. The belief system of the woke left is passing out benefits based on how you look, your sexual preferences, really any of the drivers of the woke agenda. The Administration pushes the agenda through Executive dictates, but these are not laws. Corporations are driven by fear to accept the agenda, until it hits the profit margin. Checking a box is corrosive to a society when spinning a narrative becomes more important than merit, or the foundation of running a government or corporation. It is pretty clear what a disaster this has been. Will it get worse before it gets better?
The law of the land has not been about equity for centuries. You think our laws have provided equity for all people? What a joke. How many examples would you like me to cite of inequity codified by “the laws of the land?” Anyway, what exactly is the agenda of the LGBT movement that bothers you or oppresses you?

This thread was about Nico Young having the courage to come out. While common in women's sports, what he did is very uncommon in elite men's sport.
If you want to debate the merits of a woke vs heteronormative society or something related to a culture war, please start a thread on that topic specifically.
