this dude agrees with me. I’m sure he fact checked also!!!!
While the article says Abbey "could have been selected for the olympics," in passing while talking almost exclusively about the situation this year, there is no justification for that sentence provided. Aurore Fleury of France was ranked ahead of her and France had not fulfilled their 3 per country quota. I concede it is possible Aurore Fleury would have declined, and its possible that "this dude", knows about it. I seriously have doubts about that though, because "this dude", or woman, doesn't even publish under their real name, and provides no evidence to back up that statement, and I can't find any other source supporting this statement. I need at least some evidence that "this dude", did their research. Given how skeptical you are about AU athletics, and I am too, I think we should also be skeptical of what we read online. Look I agree Abbey should have been selected for this world championships, and the politics stinks, but I also don't think she qualified for the olympics last year, until someone can provide me with evidence that Aurore Fleury declined or a well sesearched article on Abbey's non selection from last year.

Appologies Looks like the column is written by Len Johnson (although stated oddly in the title rather than the author field, which just says runnertribe admin). But the rest of my response still stands.
2:00.03 tonight for Abbey going 57.94/62.10. Pretty big PB for her. Seems like she’s ready for a big one in the 15. Im still in the camp that they made a huge mistake leaving her off the team.

That is an amazing run considering all the publicity this week after AA failed to select her as an Auto. for WC as they previously advised her in writing they would if she achieved a WQ within the required period. She won by over 2.5 seconds so could well have gone under 2.00 if pushed in the last 100. The magnitude of AA's massive error is now there for the whole world to see.
Give it up you’re wrong. I’ve provided 2 credible sources of info which both state she was within quota last year. And I know this to be 100% correct.
What 2 sources? You only provided one link and refused to provide a link to road to Tokyo rankings for the womens 1500, or explain why Aurore was not ahead of her. You're making arguments by authority without providing your identity, so we'll just have to agree to disagree on this until you provide actual facts, direct sources, or arguments other than "I say so and so does this other dude." If your claim was true it would be verifiable. So why do you refuse to provide the sources that would allow us to verify it directly? While I concede it may be possible, you aure are acting a lot like AU atletics here.
Go have a look on Gavin’s burrens insta account for a post dated 4 Kyle 2021.
hard to be selected as an alternative if you weren’t in a quota position to begin with. checkmate!
GG was selected over abbey last year even though GG was injured. Full stop.
Linking the post would be so trivial. You are seriously having me search for a post in the month of "Kyle" of 2021, from her coaches insta. Even if I knew what the month of kyle was, it just looks like you are trolling at this point. I'm willing to admit I'm wrong and that she qualified for the olympics in 2021 if you can just provide the verifiable info. But lets stop this back and forth agree to disagree, since you don't want to provide the info in a reasonably accessible way.
You can see it here. Aurore was ranked 64th in the world and Abbey Caldwell was ranked 65th in the world but, at the bottom of the page, you can see that Aurore is listed as "Withdrawn" and the lowest ranked athlete qualified by world rankings quota was ranked 76th, Federica del Buono.
I've looked up his insta and found no such post. I've googled road to tokyo and found no such rankings, and your article just has one sentence from a guy with no facts presented, only a claim. Why can't you provide a link to the road to tokyo rankings, or a link to the insta post? I've provided a link to the world rankings for the exact date, with Aurore clearly ahead of caldwell. But you've provided no explanation why that is wrong or doesn't matter. As I have said countless times I'm more than happy to admit you are right. I don't care who's right. I don't think you understand what checkmate means. I'm in search of the truth, I'm simply asking you for facts, if you provide me with something verifiable, I'm satisfied, it means I win, because I get the undisputable truth. There is no checkmate, only you are viewing this as an argument.
