You interpret taking Covid seriously as "behaving as if 100% of the population is on the brink of death." No one on the left or anywhere at all thinks 100% of the population is on the brink of death from Covid. This would be a logical fallacy but I don't think you're simply arguing irresponsibly. I think you're extremely out of touch and think the liberal elites are out to get you or something.

Okay, so yeah you did a nice job proving that by numbers you are more likely to die of covid than in a car accident. But the fact that it's actually that close and yet we don't even mildly think about even entertaining the smallest of thoughts on not using motorized vehicles yet freak the heck out about covid should tell you we have lost our ability as a society to assess risk rationally.

You've posted a link to a private company that offers housing to families of hospital patients, asking that its guets be vaccinated.

There is LITERALLY nothing in that story about a toddler being thrown out of a hospital.

Ah, I see what you did there. You made it sound like they evicted a toddler for not being vaccinated. That is not the case. They evicted the family because the parents were not vaccinated. So essentially some nutjob anti-vaxxer parents refused to get vaccinated so they could stay at the hospital where their 4 year old was being treated for cancer. The parents knew the rule well ahead of time and chose to oppose it.

Real time tracking data exists... and you can still use it to estimate even as inflated as it is. The more accurate it gets the more it will show that COVID is not a problem for healthy people under 50.

Do you live your life as if you have a peanut allergy? If not why not. Living in fear of COVID as a healthy person under 50 makes as much sense as fearing peanuts when you aren't allergic to them.

5X isn't particularly close. I would think that since automobile fatalities are relatively common, anything that occurs 5x a much should be significant cause for concern. The only things on the NSC list that have a greater chance of causing death are heart disease and cancer.

No it's not. We were in the 'low' to 'medium' zone for most of the last 6 months while the mask mandate was in place. We could theoretically have zero COVID cases for the next month, and the mask mandate would remain in place "just in case."

I think the kid's father condemned him to death. I would drink literal poison to keep my child alive but this guy wouldn't get a vaccine that has been given to over a billion people with extremely rare and minimal side effects. He trusts the institution of medicine to treat his child's cancer but doesn't trust the vaccine. I feel really bad for the child but his parents are at fault here, not the hospital.

It's not a hospital. It's a house that families can stay at while the kid is in the hospital. They also have a lounge area at the hospital.

The kid is still getting treatment at the hospital. None of that has changed. And the family wasn't evicted. The dad just went on a social media binge when he found out about the policy.

Meanwhile, COVID didn't "cause" the death in most cases. You don't understand the numbers you're "providing"....

If COVID is in the chain of causation anywhere on the death certificate it's called a "COVID death" even when something else actually killed them.

And 5X is very close when you're literally only looking at car crashes that occur during the morning commute...
