I agree with the commentary-maybe by Anderson?- that she's been somewhat underappreciated.

Dos Santos went out slow and is now the 3rd fastest ever

45.94 to absolutely smash the WR
46.14 for Rai Benjamin to win silver
46.72 for Santos, also under Kevin Young's old Olympic and former WR
One of the greatest races ever signaling a new era for this event.
Someone enter Warholm and Rai in the 400m final they could both go 43 low...
AND 47.08 for 4th
AND 47.12 for 5th.
The entire top 5 just ran within the old top 15 in one freakin race!!!! My god.
Up until 2 years ago only once had anyone ever run under 47.
So, the WR in this event coming into this year was broken 4 times this year.
Warholm earlier this year did it.
And now THREE athletes did it again in one race?!?! Warholm again, Benjamin, and Dos Santos.
Has any established WR ever been broken by 4 performances and/or 3 athletes in one season???

probably Bubka in the PV

That 400h race insane. Don't know what to compare that too. Would be like the London 2012 800m if they had run 1 second faster and Rudisha ran 1:39
its pretty much that. Especially with everyone in the fields setting both national records and season bests

Good call. Bubka set it 4 times in 1991, and 3 times in 1992.
This year we had two women's 10k records set within a few days of one another.
I know there was a year (2008???) when T Dibaba and Defar hammered the 5000 WR, and maybe traded it.
I don't know of anything else like THIS though. Three in one race?!?!?!
El G and Ngeny in the mile in Rome in 1999. Both went under Morceli's WR in the same race.
But not by almost 3%!!!!

For as smooth as Rai is I think he just hit his limit going into the last hurdle, he did not to seem to have anything left once he cleared it
i think warholm just changed how one runs the hurdles from here on out. no more of this "pace" yourself. nope attack the hurdles like the 110 guys do and eventually you will have the strength to finish. as everyone has seen he has raced the hurdles the same since he started. going out as hard as he could and try to hold on.
just like WVN did in the open before he blew out his knee. like rudisha did in the 800. hopefully Mu decides to go for broke in the 800 and smash the WR. she can run 48....so why go out in 58? thats like rudisha having 45 speed but only going 55...of course he would make 1:50 look like cake. i think Mu needs to go out in 53, she will be WELL within her comfort zone
Not a good race strategy for a clean athlete.

Sorry...Warholm just broke his own WR by 1.6% by my corrected math. Not sure where I was getting 3%
ROFLMAO!

Sorry, but Warholm is obviously doping. mark my words
So many anonymous people claiming doping.
They have no idea because they are dirty by nature and thus anonymous.
Let clean people be seen and heard.
