I totally agree with this and I seem to remember that others posted about this a while ago now but I just fundamentally don't understand know he can square making a "daily vlog" and then post a video of him running around in the mountains when he's in the midst of a long sacral injury... same with the running shoe reviews- how are you reviewing shoes when you cannot move?!? then we get some of those horrific shoe battles/ matrix videos. god awful stuff, those.

Seth has run out of ideas, so he has to repost old illegal drone footage for commercial use.

I think this is a great idea to get a video out. "Throwback to Pikes Peak 2019" with commentary, maybe even a compilation of his training before that as you say. Its not the best content but the best the can manage now and would be quite interesting to watch if you ask me 😊

Maybe because I haven't actually listened to his videos in a while, but he was definitely making some references to criticism in today's video....."I'm human, far from perfect...." "developed a scoring system...."

The Mach 5 ended up with an 8. Seems like that's on the higher end of his ranking system for the first time in a while? The constructive criticism is slowly but surely working.

He is far from perfect. Very soon the FAA will call him and tell him to stop his illegal commercial drone operation. I hope he is able to pay the fine while his big family doesn't have to starve.

It would be a shame if the go pro in Seth fridge could just show cold emptiness.

Is all the criticism of the man just envy? Can the lr running community take a positive perspective of someone bringing runners together? I understand people who want to see his content improve but the relentless attacks on the guy are depressing to see.

Or his sub par content creations for you tube. I watch a decent amount of content on youtube? Seth stuff has to be in the lowest 5% of the barrel.

Just a pet peeve about Seth's shoe reviews: I have been running for 40 years, been a shoe geek since day one, and used to work in running retail. I have literally never heard anyone use the term, "eyelet chain" before I heard it from Seth. Is this something he made up? Or have others heard this before?

Like any other group, especially on the internet, opinions snowball quickly and so this thread clearly shows how quickly a majority of the group, originally critical, has become triggered or personally offended by what Seth’s done or is doing. I don’t think there’s content he could put out there that could elicit a majority of positive responses.

There are legitimate critiques and concerns, especially with his videos during injury, but someone on here throwing hate at the fact that a person on his fb group posted proudly about running 6 miles is ridiculous and sad.

I think he genuinely wants to build a positive community around running, but the pressure he created for himself when he took the opportunity to really monetize the channel (which most people would probably have done) obviously opened him up to more criticism and has probably negatively affected his overall mental health. Couple that with his injury and I’m genuinely worried that he may be in a pretty low place. If he is reading this thread he should probably stop that immediately, but LR starting to infiltrate his channel with hate may make some people on here feel better about their own lives for a hot second, but is not actually great for anyone, especially those people who are just making the decision to get into running because of his channel, a group you would think a running website would actually be overly supportive of.

Seth said today it is going to take 12-18 months to "dial in" his shoe review system.

Seth is endangering millions of lives in Denver. What happens if his drone crashes into a police helicopter and that helicopter crashes into a downtown building?

There is no system other than that he makes up everything on the fly.

He rates everything around 7/8ish so nobody can be upset just like any other running magazine.

You are speeding.

You are endangering lives while driving recklessly. What if your car crashes into a police assisting a driver on the of the road or you hit a bus full of school children?

I’m the one who posted about the 6 mile run Facebook selfie. I have never been a fan of people in general sharing post-workout selfies. For me it seems like the person is desperate for attention. I also find it more cringey if it is a guy doing it. Is this a common opinion or am I in the minority here? Im honestly trying to assess whether Im justified in being bothered by this. Im assuming the guy shared the selfie because he is a newer runner and proud of the accomplishment. Maybe he is looking for encouragement to keep working hard? I also get it when body builders post pics because they want to show off their progress or use it as a point of comparison to a previous photo. I dunno. I have mixed feelings on it.

GREAT POINT! Imagine if that helicopter then crashes into a nuclear launch bunker and starts WW3!!!!!!!!!!

I just hope that Seth has the FAA Part 107 license.
