For the record, I actually liked Haley, and I thought a Haley/Scott ticket or similar was what the Republicans really needed to beat the Democrats at their own game of incessant race politics and abortion rights.

the current Democratic Party is utterly institutionalist and actually conservative, in that it wants to generally keep what we have going. Because it has made the US so rich and successful.

any attempt to call it revolutionary or a threat is absurd. Obama, Biden, Harris, Bill Clinton...these are straight down the middle American leaders. No big changes. Improve on the margins.

Through Trump, they are letting out their true feelings without even having to say them out loud (for the most part).
