Hey. I just looked at US and world market charts, GDP projections, anticipation of stagflation, and predictions that the diminishing role of the US as a reliable trade partner, ally, and world leader is leaving an enormous opening for China.

Texas and Cal. have the 7th and 4th biggest economies in the world and the US GDP is $10 trillion greater than that of China. The country will be just fine.

You are only looking at the depreciation in the index. Dividends are still being paid out and they account for a significant portion of the total return of the market.
