No more vague answers you have to choose one or the other. If you say Obama tell me which specific policy he implemented on this date that started the surge. I look forward to your response.

A persons definition of "moral soundness" is elusive to pin down. I don't know if he is or is not. All I know is whats in the news, most of which is biased. Was JFK morally sound? Was Teddy Kennedy? Was Bill Clinton? Probably not base on whats likely your definition, yet they were or ran for President. Do I believe he is a legit businessman? he's certainly successful by anyone's definition. As far as I'm aware hes not ever been accused, charged or convicted of anything regarding involvement in illegal activity. Do you know things that LE does not? I do know that his moral standard, whether it fits your definition or not, is far superior to HRC, the only alternative we had at the time. Same in my opinion for any perceived criminality.

Bernie supporters, for the most part don't know what the hell they are. They are largely misguided. Most want something for nothing, free tuition, free healthcare, free something. Without working for it. In other words, they would rather mooch off the people who actually pay the taxes, so they can sit back and smoke weed all day, eat bon bons and get fat.

Much of right wing America is still racist - either low key or full-blown. For those lacking critical thinking skills and intellect, it's easier to hate than to empathize. They have to blame someone for their failures in life because they've not only been sold the dream of "you can achieve anything if you just work hard enough" but they've also bought it.

We've been sold that line by the exact people who bear most of the blame for the creating the context in which those failures occurred. I'm not one to excuse the power of the individual over their own lives, but when there is an active contingent working to stack the deck against everyone else for their own gain, it's not hard to say:

"Hey, maybe instead of blaming black people and immigrants who have little to no impact on your lives you should actually direct that ire at the powerful and corrupt and, I don't know, stop enabling their power-consolidation and blatant corruption?"

But then I see the flaming ignorance and lies of posters like DG, mal-mo, jamin, Hardloper, keikakaistan and itsbaddude, etc., and start to feel like it's all too late anyway.

1) Clinton is quite relevant. She was VERY close to being our President. More people thought she should have been than thought Trump should. Do you think liberals would be on here railing against all of her transgressions (and there are many documented) if she had won the electoral college? I assume you voted for her and thought she would be an effective POTUS given all of the legal issues that have plagued her over the years.

2) Perhaps. However, if not in a dead heat, Clinton was a VERY close second. Reasonable people would say it was a photo finish.

3) You think I'm defending Trump? Pfffft. Read my post again, brother. Ted Lieu???? You can't be serious. I assume you have not done much research on him and are just going with him because of his outspokenness about Trump. Shame on you for not doing your homework.

The rise in the stock market since Nov 8, 2016 is very much based on the expected and delivered Republican and Trump tax cuts for the wealthy, who are also the main beneficiary of a stock market rise.
